In the jungles of Mexico, the Brotherhood of the Closed Books ply their supernatural trade...and give Jackson T. Winters and his associates VERY real reasons to be afraid of the dark.
Like most artists I enjoy, I'm running out of adjectives to describe how amazing Davide Gianfelice's art is in conjunction with Miroslav Mrva's colors and Williamson's story. So I'll just tell you about my favorite panel. It's the image of the Skadegamutc, the demonic witch possessing Nina. The idea alone of the creature is creepy enough, but seeing Gianfelice's version is equally fantastic and frightening. There are obviously ways of putting personality into animals, but Gianfelice opts to make the crow-headed creature's face blank, like it's staring into your soul the minute you look at it on the page. Overall, Ghosted is a series that should keep bringing in new readers with its quality storytelling. Joshua Williamson has done a great job so far keeping things interesting, while also not revealing to much into Jackson's past. If he continues with this quality storytelling there is no reason Ghosted can't be around for years to come. Read Full Review
Issue #8, while lacking some of the epic feel and forward progression of some of the other issues, still does a damn good job of being an all around exciting and original comic (don't worry,a hefty portion of slit throats and nut-kicks still make it into the mix), sitting and asking yourself, "how the hell does he make it out of this one?" has rarely been this fun, and if anything this issues really does prove no holds are barred with a last page that'll make you chuckle and say, "Damn, Joshua Williamson will go where he needs to keep it interesting." I've said it before and ill say it again, Ghosted is one of the most fun, easy to read and imaginative books on my pull right now. I enjoy every issue, and I think you would too. Read Full Review
GHOSTED continues to be one of my favorite month-to-month series and this issue raises the bar. A TON of information is revealed about The Brotherhood of the Closed Book here, and while we won't spoil any of it, it's a pretty crazy twist that really gives this group a cool purpose. On the down side of things, I'm not too keen on the reveal page and this isn't a great place to jump on for new readers. Aside from all this, GHOSTED is still a must read. Gianfelice makes great use of the jungle setting throughout the narrative. In a wide shot, Gianfelice illustrates the ancient temple with thousands of stone steps. If you look carefully, the steps form into the shape of a hand. The walls and narrow tunnels are lit by flickering candles. The Teacher's throne is made up of bones and skulls, the remains of humans who have been eaten by giant snakes.Readers should definitely be on the lookout for “Ghosted” #8. With its surprising cliffhanger, I can't wait to see what happens next. Read Full Review

Ghosted is one of those rare series like The Walking Dead or Saga that can captivate its readers month in and month out. Joshua Williamson has crafted a good story with an interesting premise that has the potential to be a long lasting hit like several other Image books. If he can continue to keep up the quality and have good art to support his writing, Ghosted will continue to thrive and thrill. Read Full Review
