Comic Bastards - Dustin Cabeal Apr 4, 2013

With so much going on this issue it was hard to stick to one emotion for very long, but there is a bit of a sad moment in this issue. We’ll have to see how it turns out, but I’m sure I’ll mention in it in my next review of the series. I’ve was already on board with this series for the long haul after the last issue, but now I’m hooked on it until the bitter end. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this series and if you’ve been missing out on it, then now is the time to jump on. Read Full Review

Comics: The Gathering - lucstclair Apr 3, 2013

Writer Joe Harris stated in this issue that he’ll taking a break, as the GP trade comes out in May, but that it’ll be back in June for a whole new story arc. With the way this issue ends, I certainly look forward to it. Read Full Review

Comic Vine - Sara 'Babs' Lima Apr 3, 2013

If one thing is certain about this series it is that it has some real unbelievable elements. The story lagged a little bit in previous issues (although it was still great), and closed a lot of loose ends in this issue. The creative team does a good job writing a story that is well presented and organized: I definitely got the sense that I did not see coming what was coming, and that's a good thing. This was not at all predictable, and really, who wants a predictable story? My only complaint is that as a result of this issue and things just going really smoothly, it taints the story as being a lot less grounded in reality. Things in life just simply don't go this perfectly, so there was something about that which left me a little bit unsatisfied. Read Full Review

Bloody Disgusting - Your Friendly Neighborhood Brady Apr 4, 2013

This issue wraps up what started while leaving some plot crumbs for the next arc down the road. And like a season finale, readers are left with mixed emotions. I felt there could have been more resolutions than dangling story lines. I'm intrigued to see where the garbage island of New Texas will drift to next in “Great Pacific”. Read Full Review

The Fandom Post - Chris Beveridge May 6, 2015

Great Pacific started off well for me with its first couple of issues, but as it's progressed it's faltered a lot in telling what feels like a coherent story that can move forward with what it wants to do. There are some good ideas within the book and its concept, but it's gone in strange directions that have left me wondering what the endgame is. You can see some of what Chas is doing, but some of reasons are unclear as are his intentions – and those that he's roped in to help. Some of the recent character additions haven't exactly instilled confidence either. But those moments of intrigue and surprise definitely keep me interested in where it's going, but the excitement level has certainly toned down a lot from how it all started. Read Full Review

Unleash The Fanboy - Zac Boone Apr 3, 2013

As frustrating as much of this issue was to read, I will give Joe Harrisprops for a surprising, though not unbelievable, ending. It will definitely make future issues interesting. Read Full Review
