The Comicbook Dispatch - tcreadscomics Jun 21, 2023

ROGUE SUN #13 is a quiet issue as far as this series goes. Much of it is Dylans disembodied conflict with Caleb which provides for good dialogue exchanges and interesting reactions from Dylan but cant really advance further than that (at least until the issues later pages). But the issue does set the stage for Dylan to discover things about himself which can only fuel good stories going forward. Read Full Review

Parrott makes a disturbing point about somebody else being able to handle your life and relationships better than you.  Abel and Renna put some excellent touches on a rogues gallery of nightmare characters, making me really want to see more of them.  Dylan and Caleb's struggle to maintain control over their coveted “prize” was a real highlight of the story (including the ensuing battle/team-up with Demonika). AIPT - Collier Jennings Jun 21, 2023

Rogue Sun #13 launches a new story arc that finds its titular hero battling his greatest enemy: self-loathing. Once again, the ending not only leaves readers wanting more, it also opens up all manner of possibilities. More superhero books could stand to learn a lesson from this one. Read Full Review

    COMICON - Tom Smithyman Jun 19, 2023

For the first issue of a new story arc, this chapter isn't all that exciting. The plot is pretty obvious, and the lone battle scene is tame.Hopefully it's not an indication of what's to come with the rest of the arc. Read Full Review

While new concepts and mythologies are being introduced, it feels like Dylan's progress takes a step back as he fills the shoes of the character we knew a year ago. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff Jun 21, 2023

Parrott and Renna are playing with some really fun things in a setting that should be a lot more appealing than its coming across on the page. The setting should have more impact than it does, but the central visual appeal of the character and the villains that hes up against continues to hold a great deal of gravity on the page.
