There's been plenty of death and carnage in The Walking Dead lately, and it looks as though Robert Kirkman and Charlie Allard will be taking some time to regroup and focus on character relationships over plot. That's perfectly fine, especially with issue like this that manage to create new character drama and build on past storyline in clever and unexpected ways. Read Full Review

Overall this is a decent middle chapter. The stuff with Carl (and a brief scene with Jesus) provide some great character moments, and the promise of meeting Eugene's long-distance girlfriend has led the story in an interesting direction. Add to it the simmering conflicts between Maggie and Negan, as well as Dwight and Rick, and you've set the stage for some interesting developments in the coming months. Read Full Review

    Pop Culture Uncovered - Pauly D Jul 5, 2017

Per usual, Kirkman has expertly planned out the story for the next series of adventures and what this issue lacks in action in makes up for in depth. The dynamic of the leader against the wall is an intriguing one and it will be fascinating to see how Rick deals with this conflict without his trusted wife by his side. Buckle your seat belts boys and girls, it's going to be a bumpy ride! Read Full Review
