The Weekly Crisis - Kirk Warren Jun 24, 2010

SpiderMan dies. I'm not sure what defines a must read comic for most people, but I think this one fits the bill. It also helps that this was another compelling chapter of Grim Hunt with the great swerve with Ezekiel and it's a comic you should be reading. Read Full Review

What's been particularly refreshing about "Grim Hunt" thus fa, is the way in which Kelly has been able to simultaneously recognize that he's treading on sacred ground while still managing to tell a story that feels independent of its connection to "Kraven's Last Hunt". There's an inherent sense of urgency that's such a large part of the best Spider-Man stories, whether it's manifested in a dying Aunt in need of her medicine or a hero whose been buried alive. That sense of urgency is what makes the wait between issues so excruciating. It pervades the entire story and transcends being a mere cliffhanger. Joe Kelly has captured that sense perfectly here. It doesn't matter. That's all extra fluff. What matters is the "Grim Hunt" story that makes up the bulk of this issue. And that one's a definite winner from start to finish. Read Full Review

Amazing Spider-Man #635 was yet another phenomenal read. Joe Kelly and Michael Lark absolutely knocked it out of the park in this second issue to Grim Hunt. While the story isnt very new reader friendly it is doing everything right that if you have been reading Spider-Man for a while that you should be reading this. I cannot gush about how much Im loving this story enough. It is just plain phenomenal as it feels like a big event that is happening within Amazing Spider-Man. I highly recommend long time Spider-Man fans to pick this issue up as this is a story for you. Read Full Review

    Comic Book Bin - Herv St-Louis Jun 27, 2010

Speaking of Kaine, he looked very different this issue. The artist drew him with shorter hair and made him almost a clone look alike of Peter Parker. He tends to look very different with the long hair. I like the work of Lark and Gaudiano here. It fits the story well. They are also remarkable storytellers guiding the reader through a web of action seamlessly. Read Full Review

Overall, I liked both stories, and can't wait to see just how Kelly plays the ending here, and if what we see is actually what we get, or what else might be going on, but I just hope that the characterization and portrayal of Kaine is improved somewhat, because it's terrible thus far.
