Unleash The Fanboy - John McCubbin Oct 23, 2014

Amazing X-Men‘s second arc comes to an end, with World War Wendigo delivering an exciting, all be it sudden climax. The artwork also as ever excites, and I know I for one can't wait to see Yost return to this series. Highly recommended. Read Full Review

Comics Recap - Draven Katayama (loudlysilent) Nov 18, 2014

Everything wraps up in this issue too fast, and unfortunately the Wendigo arc lacked the hook to really captivate readers. I wish the members of Alpha Flight had received more development throughout the arc. There's one error in this issue: there's a speech bubble pointing to Northstar that is supposed to be a narration box spoken by Wolverine. The arc ends with unresolved questions: what happened to Talisman and Puck? Craig Kyle and Chris Yost get credit for featuring Alpha Flight, but this issue and arc lack the energy and personality of Yost's excellent current New Warriors. Read Full Review

Comic Book Herald - Travis Bass Oct 26, 2014

Overall, this issue does not deliver on the promises made during this arc, and in fact was a rather rushed comic. World War Wendigo started off fairly strong, setting up a giant threat for the X-Men, and then proceeded to drag its feet for three issues only to quickly rap everything up in the final issue. While there are some nice character moments here and there, this is honestly not worth the read unless you are a hardcore X-Men, or even Alpha Flight fan. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Greg McElhatton Oct 24, 2014

"Amazing X-Men" #12 marks a moment where, in just twelve issues, this title has made itself irrelevant once again. With a fill-in and then an "AXIS" tie-in scheduled to round out the rest of the year, I'm not sure that status will change any time soon. What first felt like a great opportunity is now a title quietly limping towards what one can only expect will be a stealth cancellation. If this is the best that "Amazing X-Men" can do, maybe it's time for one less X-Men title until there's a proper reason to revive it. Read Full Review

An ending to a story which will be absolutely forgotten.
