This is a great spin-off, and a great glimpse into a world I'm growing quite partial to. 4.8/5 Read Full Review

Roxane Gay may have found her feet within the comics industry even faster than Coates, and with him in tow as consultant, World of Wakanda is wonderful as a companion piece to Coates' series, but works just as well as a standalone. Read Full Review

I liked the first issue, but Gay and Martinez have really improved with this issue in both pacing and dramatic clarity. As a companion the main Black Panther series, this book provides backstory that, while not essential, provides a lot of depth and texture. I love the character development. This is very compressed though, the effects of Infinity are contained on one page, I would have liked to live through more of the hardships that the characters talk about, that would have elevated to emotions.

It's barely better than the previous issue due to the fact that the post kiss romance isn't obnoxious like their tough love from before. The scene with T'Challa was ok as well, but it still has big problems in dialogue and scene transition.
