Chuck's Comic Of The Day - Chuck Jun 10, 2012

This series really recaptures the fun early days of the team, with a fresh spin. Highly recommended, as long as Fraction doesn't drop any plates! Read Full Review

    Outer Realm Comics - Matthew S Jun 8, 2012

Cover: The main focus of the cover is Black Cat, and as it should be. She really is the star of this issue, drawing us in as the kind of device used to help inform the reader. We start this strange journey along with her and while she doesn't quite understand the true nature behind her actions, we sure get a kick out of them. The Defenders (much like in the action of the issue) take the back seat. This is an effective cover, popping with colour and energy. The Dodsons have done a great job, and many will be glad to see that they are still, at least, drawing the covers for this series. Read Full Review

Next to #4 (the Michael Lark illustrated Dr. Strange issue), this was probably my favourite issue of Fraction's Defenders thus far. Read Full Review

    Comic Vine - Tony 'G-Man' Guerrero Jun 6, 2012

Matt Fraction keeps the story, pacing and humor moving while giving us crazy adventures without the forced the-world-is-about-to-end stories we've seen too often. He has a great mix of characters to work with and ones that I personally enjoy seeing. That, plus Terry Dodson handling the art makes this a book that would be hard not to like. As much fun as it seems, there is a little something missing in terms of their motivation. The story is progressing and I'll want to see how it all ends. I've been left with the feeling of not caring about who the bad guys are that the team has to fight. It's always great to see Black Cat pop up in comics. If you're looking for a team that's different from the others in the Marvel Universe, you should be reading THE DEFENDERS. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Doug Zawisza Jun 8, 2012

"Defenders" is a book that has vexed me more often than not lately, largely due to the extra dollar in the pricepoint. With this issue, Marvel tacks on a free digital code, which helps justify the four quarters a bit -- and combined with the apparent direction of this title, this book has fresh legs. Newsarama - David Pepose Jun 11, 2012

In a lot of ways, Defenders #7 brings back a Matt Fraction I haven't seen in awhile, not with the hustle of Fear Itself or AvX or Iron Man or Thor. With Felicia Hardy, Fraction seems to have gotten a second wind, delivering a dynamic character that might be what Defenders has been missing all along. Read Full Review
