    Those coming into Book of the Skull expecting some major revelations in regards to Fear Itself might be disappointed. But if you come into this story looking for a quality narrative with solid writing and spectacular art, then you'll leave happy. Book of the Skull accomplishes what a prologue is meant to do: tease. Ed Brubaker and Scot Eaton have whet my appetite; now I'm ready for Matt Fraction and Stuart Immonen to come in and deliver a truly awesome main course. Read Full Review

    If you were excited for "Fear Itself," "Book of the Skull" won't dampen that excitement, but it certainly won't increase it. It's an entertaining superhero story that follows a plot that has been done many times before, both in Ed Brubaker's "Captain America" and elsewhere. Both the art and writing feel inessential to "Fear Itself," nothing that can't be covered in a line of explanation. Read Full Review
