Comics Bulletin - Ray Tate Jun 4, 2010

I don't know why Valkyrie considers Emma Frost a friend. I don't recall the moment where Val met Emma Frost. If Val did, at the time Emma should have been the White Queen and a card carrying member of the Hellfire Club. I don't care. Writing and artwork this good persuades me to accept that in some unpublished adventure Emma Frost and Val shared a flagon of ale and Patsy and Emma bumped into each other while clubbing in Soho. Comic Book Resources - Greg McElhatton Jun 7, 2010

I'm glad that "Heralds" is a weekly mini-series, because I'm already dying for the next issue. Immonen and Zonjic have solidified themselves quite nicely as creators that I'm absolutely going to seek out from now on. For now, though, I'll just sit back and enjoy this comic. "Heralds" is the kind of comic that brings you back to the store every week for the next chapter. Read Full Review

Comic Vine - Zack Freeman Jun 3, 2010

This might be going under a lot of people's notice, so I'd encourage a lot of you to give this a second look and try it out. There isn't that clear of a throughline regarding what the book is about or where it's going, but it really is one of the better titles I've read this week. Read Full Review

    Razorfine - Alan Rapp Jun 8, 2010

Did Hellcat just punch out a clone of Albert Einstein? Did Valkyrie just kill a T-Rex above the streets of Paris? Did Frankie Raye just come back from the dead? Did Cyclops just crack a joke? Did Abigail Brand‘s S.W.O.R.D. facility just explode, unleashing all kinds of craziness? Are Photon and She-Hulk really wearing fake mustaches? The answers to all these question is yes. Damn, Emma Frost throws the best birthday parties ever! I really wasn't expecting much from this mini-series by Kathryn Immonen and Tonci Zonjic, but this first issue is a whole lot of fun. Definitely worth a look. Read Full Review

    IGN - Kevin Fuller Jun 3, 2010

Heralds is going to have a quick shelf-life as a weekly project. Marvel made a wise decision to release issue #1 on a somewhat lighter weak to hopefully attract more interest. While it's not everyone, Immonen has so far written a story that provides a nice change of pace from the rest of the market. At worst, it might be a good idea to pick up as a trade to mix things up. The Comic Addiction - Gary M. Miller Jun 6, 2010

The artwork by Tonci Zonjic, clearly influenced by Milt Caniff and Hugo Pratt, has a fun quality about it. That shouldn't be any surprise to those who have seen his work before, on projects like 2009's Marvel Divas or his independent work. It's lighthearted and tells the story very well. The color palette by Nathan Fairbairn is wonderful and enhances Zonjic's linework. Read Full Review
