    Overall, this is a solid start to a new Punisher series. Rick Remender seems to be on the right track and he appears to have an appreciation for the character and I'm looking forward to what he brings to the table for "Dark Reign" and beyond. Read Full Review

    If you ever wondered how The Punisher could survive against a character who is essentially Superman with psychological difficulties, then you need to read this issue. It's very convincing in its depiction of such a fight, and a great extended action scene to boot. There's not a huge amount in the way of underlying story, but it will keep you entertained for the duration of the issue. These days, that's probably enough.     Because the main feature of the series is so simple and fast-moving, there's not much else to say about this issue other than I found it entertaining. Remender kept me at the edge of my seat, and artist Jerome Opena did a good job capturing the energy of this chase, even if his work is a little too rough around the edges in places. All in all, I'd say the premise of Punisher trying to kill Norman Osborn is an interesting one; I just don't know how long they'll be able to milk it without convincing fans that Norman could actually die in a Punisher comic.     Remender and Opena are an interesting team to bring on to Punisher, and “Dark Reign” isan idealstory for the character, so let's hope they use that to their advantage. I'll stick with this for awhile and see where it goes. Read Full Review
