    Herotaku - Frankie Rodriguez May 3, 2015

This special is was pretty awesome. Yes, I didn't mention the 8 page Attack on Titans/Avengers preview because that is alternate universe and not the key draw of this book. This was about getting ready for Wednesday's Secret Wars #1. And Hickman and Renaud do a magnificent job getting people ready for this long standing storyline. Overall, if you didn't read Hickman's massive series that lead up to Secret Wars, this catches you up nicely Read Full Review

The Fandom Post - Chris Beveridge May 4, 2015

Free Comic Book Day is one of my favorite events of the year since I get people to go that don't normally delve into comics much itself. This issue was one of my highlights in picking up because it sets things up for Secret Wars well for new readers, gives something solid for a taste of it for the ongoing readers, and then provides an outright fun action oriented work with some great talents as we get the Attack on Titan story in full color legally. This issue does some good advertising along the way for Marvel's Disney XD properties, the Secret Wars event itself and for the Kodansha Comics Attack on Titan series. So it's a solid marketing vehicle overall, but it's also a pair of great short teaser stories. Definitely worth grabbing no matter which kind of comics fan you are. Read Full Review

Comic Vine - Mat 'Inferiorego' Elfring May 2, 2015

If you're a Marvel fan, this book is a must have, for the SECRET WARS part. Sure, the ending doesn't feel like it works as smoothly as everything else, but this is a great catch-up to the upcoming event and it's great to see it all through the eyes of the Future Foundation. The Attack on Titan back-up looked cool and if you're a fan of the manga, you'll probably love it, but it was just ok overall. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Matt Little May 8, 2015

Overall, Marvel's FCBD offering is an entertaining bag, with an entry level story for their complicated summer event and accessible base action for the fan curious as to what Comic Book Christmas is all about. None of the stories contained here are essential to a reader's greater understanding of the bigger narratives Marvel is working towards but are a fun presentation of what makes comic books so enjoyable. Yet Another Media Site - Kevin Finnigan May 3, 2015

The other half of SECRET WARS #0 is a crossover with the popular manga ATTACK ON TITAN. It's a fun, albeit short story. It feels like this could have been more developed as not much happens. Quick fight, quick fight, then the end of the issue. Good on Marvel though, they include ways to read further into ATTACK ON TITAN if you are so desired. It probably won't make that many fans of ATTACK ON TITAN or the Avengers if you already weren't, but it's fun to see synergy like this every once and a while. Read Full Review

Not really for those that have read Hickman's Avenger/New Avenger runs other than a recap and pretry art... but in 10 pages it does a very good job getting new readers or on/off readers up to speed as best as 10 pages could possibly could. Sets a good tone set up for Secret Wars #1 (Even more so now that I've read SW1, won't spoil why though)

As a newcomer to Secret Wars, this did very little for me to catch up, as all the background info displayed here is available just about everywhere on the internet. It was an OK read, not memorable, not particularly useful either.

I'm happy it was free, but I wouldn't have paid for it anyway.

Can't complain about something free, but I can still critique it. Other than acting as a quick recap for new readers, this comic doesn't accomplish much of anything. You can probably skip this and won't notice, so Marvel fans do not fret if you didn't get this on fcbd. At least the art is good. I didn't care much at all for the Attack on Titan backup story either.
