ULTIMATE COMICS X-MEN is a top tier Marvel book. It's easily one of the most interesting books on the shelf, and writer Brian Wood knows what he's doing when it comes to writing team books, and more importantly, Kitty Pryde. She's really grown into this fantastic leader, and I'm very excited for the next story arc. The art here is great and dynamic. I have nothing but great things to say about this series. You really need to be reading this book. Read Full Review

The art here is great and dynamic. It has remain consistent throughout and it fits the story, not much can be said there. Overall there's nothing but good things to say about this book and this storyline all together. Its been an exciting perspective on the mutant issue and full of action that keeps you wanting more. It had great pacing, it was balanced and you never felt like there was a need to rush this. This was a natural as you could get from the conflict Wood brought to life. The dialogue between Jean and Kitty was brilliant and after everything is said and done, you can't help but wonder what comes next because Jean looked infuriated. Read Full Review

    IGN - Joshua Yehl Jun 26, 2013

Artist Mahmud Asrar keeps up his usual high quality work, although not without a few odd faces for Jean Grey here and there. But his jungle Rogue and Starscream-esque Farbird look amazing in every sense of the word. He has an excellent style that uses lean character designs and simple yet effective facial work. He also knows how to go big and elaborate, like we see on the gorgeous page featuring Tian. Overall, his artwork fits well into the feel of the other Ultimate Comics book while still maintaining its own identity that works quite well for mutantkind. Read Full Review
