    One was for a "newbie," two for "getting the hang" of it, but now, even after three full arcs, ten issues in total (plus the annual) I cannot for the life of me find one reason to explain the sheer mediocrity of writing here. I like Kirkmans work (Invincible), I even greatly enjoy it (Battle Pope), but when it comes to the Ultimate X-Men, I am now near to praying for the day for when he finally departs from this series.     Ultimate X-Men continues to be the weakest of all the Ultimate titles. However, I do see some hope of improvement for this title. I think that Kirkman's Cable story arc has some real potential to be a very entertaining story. If you have been avoiding this title, then this might be a good time to hop on and give it a try.     Cable is Wolverine... Nice. There was also a second story, but it was... meh. However! It was cool to see Mark Brooks here! And I can't say that about Ben Oliver...
