There's no inner turmoil, Stephen's "Venomized" version is gone almost as quickly as it arrives and the book doesn't try to do much exploring into what a symbiote version of Strange's magic would look like beyond giving his cape an upgrade. But just like the other issues, it's more concerned with sprinting towards a big crossover finale with Moon Knight than it is exploring any of these combinations. And for that I remain slightly disappointed. Read Full Review

    Plot
Doctor Strange is caught by the symbiote without realizing it, he is in his cape and appears just when Amora bursts in to stop him.

It's when he makes a kind of truce, because Strange knows how much he can increase his magical potential.

But this symbiote is attacking all the heroes he can, next is Moon Knight and his Midnight Mission.

This reimagining of how Venom attacks the Marvel universe is interesting and cool

    Art
It is detailed, with a lot of influence from Steve Ditko, also offering a medieval tone

    Summary
Doctor Strange faces an enemy whose power does not lie in magic but is capable of augmenting the abilities of the Sorcerer Supreme.

Another disappointing issue of what if. There was so much that could have been done with a strange/venom character but here we get practically nothing new or exciting. The idea that Strange couldn't handle the symbiote is dumb but necessary for the story, I get that. I just wish the writer had come up with an actual reason behind why the symbiote got through the Doc's defenses so easily. The word supreme doesn't come to mind when I think of this sorcerer. The art is another mark against this book as the faces are fine in one panel and almost grotesque in the next. The panel where Enchantress is laid out for the docs pleasure is an affront to anatomy. Listless writing and midcard art make this book a skip.
