Comics Bulletin - Kevin Powers Dec 14, 2007

Messiah Complex continues to roll along, building the action and the drama to a point where I cant wait to see how this whole story plays out. There are definite implications for the X-Men and everyone involved and I absolutely love the handling of Cyclops and the further evolution of his character. Read Full Review

And thankfully, Madrox and Layla Miller finally return to the forefront. One complaint I have almost every week with this crossover is the fact that certain characters spend too long hiding in the shadows. That complaint can still be directed towards other characters, but that's just a given at this point. What I would like, however, is less of a focus on the Reavers and/or Predator X. Both Deathstrike's team and Predator X seem to be fulfilling the same function, and I'm not sure both are necessary. More than any other issue of Messiah Complex, this issue is guilty of dangling juicy bits in front of the reader and snatching them away before they're fully satisfied. This is the best X-Men story that I have read in a very long time. If nothing else, you should certainly pick up this story arc when it is released as a trade paperback. Read Full Review

The Weekly Crisis - Kirk Warren Dec 12, 2007

Despite the overly negative review, it was still a decent chapter of Messiah Complex. It kind of ruins the momentum of the event with this sluggish, nothinghappens issue, but the Cable and Jaime/Layla stuff was good. Read Full Review
