    Black Dawn is one of the better, truly "independent" (in my definition, that does not include Image, Boom, Dark Horse and their like) comics I have read. The story and art show that the creators have developed and practiced their craft, and put considerable time and effort into the production of this comic. If apocalyptic, anarchic stories are to your liking, this is good, original work in that vein. Read Full Review

    I would say Ive read better horror comics, but when I think about it, all the horror comics Ive read werent good. So, if you look at it from that angle, this is an average horror comic. Bonus, right? Maybe. I cant say Id recommend it though. What I can say is that every time I read a horror comic and end up disappointed, I do get the urge to remind myself of how great the genre used to be and head to the video store. So, if you really want a recommendation, I say keep the $2.99 and go rent 28 Days Later. Read Full Review
