This volume wasn’t what I expected, but I loved it all the same. I’m sure that there are other great artists with long running careers that I’ve never heard of that are worthy of a collection like this, but that doesn’t change the fact that this work is fantastic. If you think that Manara is only capable of one type of storytelling and only capturing the female form then prepare to be shocked and awed.
