X-O Manowar: Prisoner of War!
Stripped of the X-O Manowar armor, Aric of Dacia has been imprisoned and interrogated at an off-the-grid black site. But what knowledge could the governments of the world want from a man who has journeyed 1,600 years to the present? A man who liberated an alien planet? A man who once wielded the most powerful weapon in existence? What knowledge could they want, you ask? All of it. And the agents of UNITY will extract every one of Aric of Dacia's secrets by any means necessary.

Fortress of Solitude - Byron Hendricks Feb 5, 2014

This issue sets up some great drama and reminds the reader that comics are not about action scenes, instead they are used to tell stories. Venditti offers the reader some great story telling as he builds Aric up as being a powerful character that may seem down and out, but he has not given up in fact he will never give up hope as he and he only will rule his people, the Visigoth of Dacia. Unleash The Fanboy - Russell Johnson Jan 21, 2014

Venditti is moving in a new more complex direction with X-O Manowar and just when readers think you have this character figured out Venditti throws a curve ball you never expect. His ability to make alien technology and superhuman traits feel natural is the key to X-O's success and continued growth in new directions. This is one of Valiant's books that marks their signature of a great comic book publisher and Venditti is the key to raising standards of great comic book storytelling. X-O Manowaris a great read and heading for bigger and better things to come. Read Full Review

Comic Bastards - Carl Boehm Jan 22, 2014

I hope that there's a great readership for this book. The comic is worth every bit of its cost, and its action will leave you pumped up and ready to go out and conquer enemies, vanquish foes, and kick all kinds of ass. Read Full Review

Geeked Out Nation - Jideobi Odunze Jan 22, 2014

Imprisoned and interrogated at an off-the-grid black site. it may seem like the end for Aric of Dacia, but this issue proves to only be the beginning. Now it does have some slight bumps in the road, though that is not to say this story doesn't have a lot of potential to mold Aric into a character who can find his place in this world. Things will definitely be better in the long run as long as we can see the importance of the Visigoth's past without spending too much time there instead of the present. Read Full Review

X-O MANOWAR is still has awesome as ever. Although an issue dealing with the main character stuck in a detention center, all issue, may not seem like your cup of tea, Venditti provides a fantastic narrative and actually does a nice job at catching up new readers without the book coming off like 20 pages of exposition. I'm excited for the future of this book, even though Aric is not in control of the armor. This is a Valiant "must read." Read Full Review

Multiversity Comics - David Harper Jan 21, 2014

X-O Manowar's 2014 launches really well, and I'm really glad to see that Valiant has done a great job in spinning this book out of its previous event in an exciting and new direction, rather than what happened after Harbinger Wars for Bloodshot and Harbinger. This book has all cylinders firing right now, and I'm in on it, big time. Read Full Review

    Comics: The Gathering - kanchilr1 Jan 22, 2014

X-0 Manowar is building to something, unfortunately this issue lacks the grace populating some of the other Unity crossover issues over the past couple of months. Hopefully Venditti has a larger game plan involving his pillar of the Valiant Universe. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Doug Zawisza Jan 22, 2014

Despite the lack of armor, there is still plenty of drama in "X-O Manowar" #21, just not much X-O Manowar. I'm certain Venditti has a long-term plan, but in the interim, he brings readers a character who is out of his depth, but not out of hope. Aric has faced adversity all his life, and Venditti convinces readers that the former host of the X-O armor will eventually overcome this new scenario as well. It's the how of the expected victory that readers are now hooked in to after reading "X-O Manowar" #21. Read Full Review

    All-Comic - Jeremy Matcho Jan 20, 2014

This is kind of a dull issue, but Robert Venditti has brought up some things that will be built on in future issues. The art is the strongest it has been yet, and will hopefully continue to stay that way. Not a great or action packed issue, but a relevant one. Read Full Review

X-O Manowar #21 might not be the "must read Valiant" I was hoping for, but it did convince me to check out some of the back issues and continue reading. There's an interesting story here"this issue just did very little to shine a light on it. Hopefully next month we'll get more. Read Full Review

Forse Aric non è semplicemente legato all'armatura. Lui ne è parte.
Capshaw lo percepisce e decide di fare un accordo con il visigoto. Molto molto interessante ed importante questo capitolo!
I disegni tornano ad alti livelli!
