I can't wait to see more from Robert and Cary and I especially can't wait to see this Ninjak guy in action"if the previews are any indication it's going to be epic. Valiant Comics is swinging for the fences with each issue and they're really, and truly, putting out some quality work. For being the only other publisher, aside from Marvel and DC, to have a complete universe for all it's characters"I think I read somewhere 1500 characters or so? That could be wrong"I'm sure they could have pumped out 10 books all at once and had them be "okay", with maybe a shining jewel here and there, but they've chosen instead to focus on a small number of books and make them great. I applaud Valiant Comics and I look forward to the rest of the Year of Valiant. Viva Valiant! Read Full Review

    IGN - Benjamin Bailey Aug 29, 2012

Cary Nord once again delivers some killer looking pages. His talent is slightly wasted during the talking heads intro, but once things get rocking they really get rocking. Things look especially great once our hero takes to the skies and starts duking it out with some jets. The action looks fantastic and you can practically hear the explosions as Aric blasts through one jet after another. It's cool stuff and the kind of thing that makes this series a must read each month. If you weren't onboard with the summer of Vailant, you better change that in the fall. Read Full Review

Comic Vine - Mat 'Inferiorego' Elfring Aug 29, 2012

X-O MANOWAR 4 delivers. It's great to see this character back in action, and this issue really establishes where this book is going to lead us. I loved the action sequences in this issue and the art team did a solid job and kept the panels fresh for the reader's eyes. I enjoyed learning more and more about the armor just from how it reacts to the world around it, and I loved the ending to this issue which brings back a classic Valiant character. Read Full Review

At their hearts, Valiant and X-O Manowar both, have always been about the evolution of the establishing into the unexpected. And that's why, a singular mind like Rob's is needed to tell the tale of a man catapulted into the future, 16 centuries. Read Full Review

Now, is this book worth the read, well if you have read the previous three issues and enjoy it thus far, then yes. Unfortunately this issue is more to move the plot along, and give you a couple of plot points for future issues. Issue 4 may prove important as the issues keep going but at this point it is not a must buy. Read Full Review

This is no jump-on point for someone not already reading the series, but (despite the above issues) it's a solid next chapter of the building story if you're already onboard. Venditti and Nord make for a great team on this flagship title, and I am looking forward to the next issue. Read Full Review

This is a really good series. Some would argue that it’s nothing more than a remake & a replica of the old series, but from what I can remember of that series, this one comes up with new & different ideas & that’s what a good creative team can accomplish Read Full Review
