    IGN - Benjamin Bailey Dec 19, 2012

Lee Garbett does some stellar work in this issue. There's a few panels that feel like they could use a bit more detail, but once the action gets rolling, the book looks fantastic. One page in particular is just panel after panel of Ninjak and X-O cutting guys to pieces. And man, I'll tell you, when X-O bursts out of the water in front of a bunch of baddies, that is what comic books are all about. It's cool as cool can be. Read Full Review

Comic Vine - Mat 'Inferiorego' Elfring Dec 19, 2012

X-O MANOWAR continues to be one of my favorite books. It's everything you want in a comic book: great story, full of action, and characters that are incredibly intriguing. This issue wraps up very nicely, and sets-up what looks like is going to be an amazing story starting next issue. The only problem I had here was that a couple pages had coloring and shading that was a bit inconsistent with the rest of the issue.Overall, this was really close to a perfect score, and I loved the issue, so I highly recommend it.X-O MANAWAR 8 gets 4 Aric's coming out of the water after a soothing bath out of 5. The potential of the story has dipped to a nadir with these past issues. I know that good things will be coming with the Vine War. Read Full Review
