    ‘Queen of Swords' is the culmination of great storytelling and a symbiotic relationship between art and script. Moreci delivers another swashbuckling tale that reinvigorates the swords and sorcery genre once again. ‘QoS' is not only a worthy companion to ‘Barbaric,' it may even surpass it.     Queen of Swords #1 is an energetic story right out of the gate, full of interesting characters and their various conflicts. This is a great jumping on point, and it is a lot of fun to see a handful of women facing a big quest. Don't be intimidated by the price this is a longer-than-average book with a story to match.     Its a very promising opening. Moreci and Howell have the series off and running with three interesting heroic women (and a pretty cool sword). The drama moving the magic around the edges of the action is intriguing enough to keep everything moving from cover to cover. The contemporary wit of the dialogue keeps everything feeling brisk and breezy in an adventure that just might have considerable emotional depth lurking beyond the surface of what appears to be a really fun action serial.  Read Full Review

    Queen of Swords #1 — That Was…F*cking Amazing

    So the title of this review might be stealing a line from the foul-mouthed, bloodthirsty, evil-spirit Ga’Bar, who lives within a sword, but it holds true for Queen of Swords #1 which hit shelves this week by the creative team of Michael Moreci, Corin Howell, and Kike Diaz from Vault Comics. This was a thoroughly enjoyable debut issue from a team who know what readers want. There’s humor, there’s character development, there’s plot setting, there’s world-building, and, fortunately for Ga’Bar, there’s blood.
