    The pinup cover is the comic book equivalent of Alice's "Eat me" signs, and we all know how that ended up. This prequel is something of a double-edged sword, not offering anything entirely new, but perhaps providing some back-story for existing readers. It's not exactly an easy introduction to new readers either, although it certainly seems to be inviting them in with this origin tale. How far down the rabbit hole you want to go is entirely up to you. Read Full Review

    Is it good, though? No, not really. I can see it as a decent run-through of basic info that will help issue #2 present the meat, but as far as a standalone read it falls short in almost every way. The simple and boring art won't be missed, and the majority of the written content could be summarized in two pages or less. Read Full Review
