Where the last issue took a while to find its momentum, this one starts off with all cylinders firing and didn't slow down once! I still love the way Starro is being written, but by the end of this issue the one thing I wanted the most was a buddy-cop-style miniseries with Lobo and Beast Boy.

I was sold on the interactions between characters in the DC Nation #0 preview, particularly the few lines of dialogue Starro had, and I was not disappointed by this book in that regard. The only drawback to this book is that this plot in book feels very much like a diesel engine; takes a while to get going, but once it does, it's very hard to slow down.

Sweet, salty Christ am I glad Tamaki's run is over.
