One thing I really like here is that the story delves into some of the stranger periods of John's life, including his time with the Darkstars and his evolution into a God in the previous run. War Journal is just a quality comic. It's not upending the universe. All it does is allow Johnson, Montos and the rest of the creative team a viable platform to showcase John Stewart with some fresh and thrilling new threats. Read Full Review
The issue sticks the landing though, bringing everything to a place that you can get back on board if you perhaps got a bit lost, but those who dive into all the threads and details along the way will once again be rewarded, and I can't wait to see what's right around the corner. Read Full Review
This comic is sick, PKJ is killing the story, the art from Montoya is quietly the best art from DC imo, and every time this book drops it’s just a very fun read. Even these more verbose issues keeps you engaged.
