    When last we left the Scoobies, Pike was preparing to tell this story. New readers may not know this fact and be confused by certain aspects of the pacing. His omniscient viewpoint where he seems to know what when on after he left the scene can be explained by input from the Slayerettes and Buffy herself who has accepted despite her protests earlier that Pike's going to tell the story anyway. Pike also seemed to know Dawn. This knowledge can be explained by the corrupted memories of anybody in contact with Buffy. Dawn did not even theory take part in this adventure. Everybody simply thinks she did and fit her in according to where she would go if she existed. In any case, these viewpoint divergences especially with regards to a surprise guest-star make the story better and only seem out of place in hindsight. Read Full Review
