    Comicosity - Terrence Sage Aug 23, 2017

“Only Human” tells a nice interlude chapter of the ongoing Action Comics saga that seems to be reaching another point of critical mass sooner rather later. Read Full Review

Action packed and great looking art makes this a fun fight comic with a surprise guest appearance at the end. Read Full Review

Comic Crusaders - Andy Hall Aug 23, 2017

There are a lot of theories floating around out there over the real identity of Mr. Oz. I haven't been taking part in them, mainly because, so many of them would be so disappointing if they turn out to be true. Williams drops another clue in this issue as he makes it clear that Mr. Oz is smarter than Luthor and there are so few characters who fit that bill. It looks like all the wild speculation will end next month when it looks like Mr. Oz will reveal himself. Read Full Review

Supergirl Comic Box Commentary - Anj Aug 25, 2017

Anyways, this issue told a philosophical story about humanity and civility with a few action beats mixed in. In that way, it should be a solid prelude to the Mr. Oz epic which is about to unfold. Read Full Review

Big Comic Page - Dave MacPhail Aug 30, 2017

This issue wraps up a short but enjoyable tale of classic rivalries married with suspense and a larger mystery that has been encompassing the DCU since its Rebirth. It is friendly to new readers but I would strongly suggest anyone reading this just pick issue 985 before this one as it does add something to the tale. The book is well-paced and if it was intended to be filler it is definitely one of the most enjoyable fillers in recent memory. Read Full Review

Comic Book Bin - Philip Schweier Aug 23, 2017

GuillemMarchs artwork reminds me of that of Mark Badger back in the 1980s.Thankfully, more detailed, but that could be a result of current technology. Read Full Review

On Comics Ground - Scott Shuken Aug 23, 2017

Two weeks away from the reveal, there is still very little we know about Mr. Oz and who he might be. My personal theory is The Superman from Dan Jurgens Tangent Comics. But thats just a long shot because Im seriously stumped. Read Full Review

DC Comics News - Matthew Lloyd Aug 23, 2017

This is a solid issue, but suffers just slightly from being more or less a fill in between story arcs. The finale certainly whets the appetite for the upcoming reveal of the Mr. Oz story line in subsequent issues. The strongest aspect continues to be Superman's challenging relationship with Lex Luthor. Read Full Review

While this issue isn't bad this is just filler with a $3 price tag. I'm not even sure what to put since there was no substance to this book. If you want classic Lex taking on all of the humainty's struggles pick up this book. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Eric Shea Aug 23, 2017

Concepts are thrown out at us in this issue that seem to come out of nowhere and make little sense to me and if that wasn't enough to raise your blood pressure, it all seemed to be filler to get us to our conclusion so that we're all ready for Mr. Oz' big reveal in the next arc.  I wish I could say that the art was strong here to try and make this sound better, but that too was pretty weak and I walked away from this issue and and this two issue arc wishing that I didn't read it.  Read Full Review

Lyles Movie Files - Jeffrey Lyles Aug 23, 2017

The only reason regular readers might want to grab this is the final few pages, which has Mr. Oz confronting Luthor. It's a fun appetizer for the big reveal and Mr. Oz-focused storyline starting next issue. Otherwise this is another lackluster chapter for Action Comics and readers can safely skip. Read Full Review
