Although I watched the Batman Beyond cartoon, it was never really a favourite of mine, as it seemed too disconnected from the rest of the DC Universe. This title seems to me to be better grounded in the rest of DC's mythology, even if it is set a few decades in the future. Read Full Review

A riveting, action-packed conclusion to this surprisingly moving tale of a father and two sons who would be Batman. Read Full Review

Despite being underwhelmed with the conclusion of this story, Batman Beyond #11 and previous issues were fun to read because I am biased towards Damian Wayne and the drama he has with his father. While the superhero blow up the world storyline was fine, it seemed tacked on as the meat of the issue is Damian's feelings about his father and Terry being the new Batman. If you've been following along with this arc then this is a good issue to grab, if you're a fan of Batman and son as I am, it's also a good read but if you're a fan of Terry he doesn't do much here at all. As a fan of the old TV show that shares the same name, I was a bit disappointed. Read Full Review

But Ill behonest " after three issues of fisticuffs, Im a wee bit tired, and am lookingforward to dozing on the flying car ride back to Gotham City. Perhaps afterthis epic, Jurgens should craft a couple of done-in-ones, to give new arrivalsthe chance to catch up. Read Full Review

This arc was fun, the ending kind of killed it for me though, but again the ride was good. I love the sharp colors and edges of the art, bringing that futuristic feel. I'm wondering where this book is going to go now that Bruce is alive, either way I'd say I'm a fan. Read Full Review

Batman Beyond #11 is a solid, fun issue that is high energy from start to finish. A few twists in the plot add an element of surprise, but there are moments that are equally predictable and repetitive as well. The story does wrap up a little too neatly for my liking, but leaves a world of possibilities open for the future! The highlight for me personally is Chang's art! The guy delivers some beautiful work, and that alone is worth your time and money! Read Full Review

Comics: The Gathering - Hussein Wasiti Aug 23, 2017

In a repetitive and rushed finale, Jurgens fails to finish this uncompelling story and doesn't manage to make it satisfying. Chang's art is still the major highlight of the book, and I wouldn't recommend coming back to this title until the regular Jurgens/Chang creative team returns in November. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Eric Shea Aug 23, 2017

While people with daddy issues like me might feel a bit of warmth by the end of this issue.......... or jealously if you're really like me, the rest was just forced emotions for a forced ending to wrap everything up after having issue after issue of a fight that amounted to nothing in the end.  The art was decent for the most part, but man was this arc a serious let down, even if it did introduce Damian Wayne into this era.   Read Full Review

On Comics Ground - Reed Strong Aug 27, 2017

Bernard Chang and Marcelo Mailo are still an extremely capable art team, giving the book its own defined tone and pallet, mixing in the familiar reds and blacks so strong with the themes of Beyond with a thickly lined style that gives it its own identity. Read Full Review
