As mysteries deepen, so do resentments. Throughout her life, Catwoman’s actions have caused many close to her to doubt her motivations. Bruce Wayne, Phantasm, and now her daughter have all had their suspicions about her deals with The Joker. And when she killed the old clown, did it trigger this feline’s ninth life? Or maybe it was really over all those years ago, the first time Phantasm drew her blood and Batman had to face a harsh truth. There are big revelations waiting to be found here at the halfway point in Tom King and Clay Mann’s final word on the Bat/Cat romance!

Batman/Catwoman #6 stands out as an especially good issue of an already fantastic title. Scenes like the one between Selina and Dick are just pure gold. At this rate, this series will undoubtedly be remembered as an all-time classic. Read Full Review

This series has always been good, but it wouldn't be nearly as effective if King wasn't this great at showing what drives his characters in these three different timelines. Read Full Review

DC Comics' BATMAN/CATWOMAN series is showing us the complicated nature of Selina Kyle. She's a hero, she's a villain, she's lonely, she's surrounded by those who love her. But above all, she's an interesting, three dimensional, human character. This creative team is masterfully turning this woman of many contradictions into the star of the show. Read Full Review

    Batman-News - Michael Escalante Aug 17, 2021

Batman/Catwoman #6 is one of the stronger issues so far given its better balance between thematic musings and overt action. The plotting is still a little haphazard, though re-reading previous issues does help connect some narrative dots, but each scene in a vacuum is compelling and well rendered by the art team. Dark Knight News - Eric Lee Aug 18, 2021

Tom King and Clay Mann continue to be on a roll with Batman/ Catwoman #6. The creative team really hit their storytelling stride and the series has some direction. The sudden scene changes and the Joker/ Catwoman friendship derail from the enjoyment a little, but this is still one of the strongest issues yet. Read Full Review

Lyles Movie Files - Jeffrey Lyles Aug 17, 2021

The trouble with a multi-tiered story is one can be very strong, another has the requisite amount of creepiness and the other seems detached from everything else playing out. King has some clever ideas, but it's starting to feel like this would so much cleaner with a different storytelling approach. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez Aug 19, 2021

Batman/Catwoman is so close to being a great series. It is unfortunate that one major aspect of this series narrative is holding it back from reaching its full potential. Because as Batman/Catwoman #6 show, Tom King and Clay Mann have a lot of great character arcs to be invested in. If they can just fix the flow of how the three different time periods compliment one another the second half of Batman/Catwoman could be truly special. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Eric Shea Aug 17, 2021

While the art remains something I love in this series, the story is just chock full of nonsense that doesn't want to do anything but make Catwoman look crappy (IMO) and while that may change down the line, we're halfway through this book and nothing about it really feels all that thought out or compelling in the long run. I can only hope that things change for the second leg of this story because amazing art will only take you so far. Read Full Review

People who like King (and hate that I don't) always ask me why do I keep reading his books. It's simple: I don't know how but he always manages to convince the best artists to work with him. Case in point: Clay Mann. Guy is a great artist but both of his books with King are just atrocious: HiC and this one. Again, Batman is just really pathetic here, it's like King revels in constantly humiliating him and Selina's dialogue is ten levels of cringe. Also, her fighting at an old age in a costume is just ridiculous. I want to rate this higher for Mann but I just can't.

I really can't believe that we're halfway through this series, and it's just... not doing anything? The three timeline thing is destroying any sort of pacing this title would have, I assume. I just... am perplexed. I don't even think this is a bad issue, really. I just don't think it's anything at all. It's just a null and void in my mind. Hence the five out of ten.

It's honestly a shame Clay Mann's art is wasted on this book. This series is just filler and non-engaging dialogue. This series has some serious sluggish issues

The book is absolute trash, The dialogues are cringe and bad. Batman isn't even interesting and sometimes doesn't even feel like batman anymore. At the end bruce showing up to Selina is the stupidest scene in the issue as basically batman is now Selina's puppet.

Tom king is the writer who is making me hate Catwoman and Bat/Cat in general because this feels much more like some cheap fan fiction who someone wrote without much thought just for the sake of it.

The 3 is for the art.

To be fair to King, all his weaknesses are on display. Letting public domanin writing do the heavy lifting? Check. (See use of Christmas carols). Pretty art surrounded by few words, check. Having characters both not talk about emotions while keeping other characters in the dark? Check. Have action be there but not actually contribute to the forward momentum of the story? Check. Have an assumed previous knowledge of characters be pivotal to the understanding of the story? Check.

This story is terrible. We are halfway through this 12 issue run and we know nothing. Bats is dead and Cats killed the Joker in the future. In the past Andrea Beaumont wants to kill the Joker because the Joker killed her so more

Another solid installment by King & Mann. So Selena & Andrea are going to kill the Joker...that can only end badly for Andrea.

Nothing special, just a bit of camp on all sides. Especially when it comes to confronting Selina's need for a little company. As well as how it's at risk when Helena confronts her mother about her murder of the Joker.

Im a big fan of Tom King's work, but this story is not working, sadly. Claymann art, in other hand, is amazing.

I wasn't a fan of this issue. We are now on a Bi-Monthly schedule with this book w/ the master Liam Sharp taking over for issues 7-9. The schedule for this book has really damaged the pacing of this book as a whole.
