In Yellowstone Park, legends speak of a spirit bear referred to as "the Yogi," which few if any have actually encountered. Real or not, when a bear seems to have graduated from stealing picnic baskets to kidnapping actual campers, Ranger Smith decides it's time to stop this menace-so he calls on the services of Slade Wilson-a.k.a. Deathstroke-to get the job done. Plus, part one of a Secret Squirrel backup story written by J.M. DeMatteis.

Overall, this is easily one of, if not the best, DC/Hanna Barber crossovers yet, and I'm disappointed it's only a one-shot. A strong story and stronger art make this comic a delightful read that will put anyone in a good mood. Read Full Review

As ridiculous as this pairing sounds, the creative team actually makes it work, and provides a funny and action packed story. Honestly, DC has put out regular titles that are less believable. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - David Swanson Nov 11, 2018

This comic raises a lot of questions for the DC fanbase, will Hanna Barbera characters start making their way into the actual canon, or is this a one-off comic that provides a Who Framed Roger Rabbit type look at two very different characters? Also, just why in general? That being said, this issue does provide a fascinating story that sucks you in right from the start and holds you there until your finished with a fantastic mix of nostalgia and good storytelling. As I said initially is a comic that fulfills the task of being entertaining but nothing more, I just imagine how complex it is to unite two different genres as cartoons and action comics and this deserve a recognition. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Simon West Oct 31, 2018

A comic that does just enough to not be bad but has nothing to elevate it beyond mediocrity. These specials struggle to justify their five dollar price tag at the best of times and with 8 pages wasted to a terrible, borderline insulting decision by its publisher, you're probably better off spending that money elsewhere. Yogi Bear Deathstroke is an extremely weird crossover that manages to do the impossible and blend the two unlikely characters into an extremely funny and violent adventure that will continue to resonate long after the story ends.

While collecting a bounty in Jellystone Park Yogi Solicits Deathstroke's services to help him locate Boo Boo, who has gone missing. As they begin their search Yogi reveals that the animals of Jellystone have changed and have become much more violent.

Yogi and Deathstroke eventually encounter Ranger Smith as he tries to save a group of people from the animals. They all team up and manage to clear the area and continue to search for Boo Boo only to get involved in a much larger conspiracy.  more
