A new story thread was introduced in this issue that I can imagine Humphries spreading over the next few issues. I really like this issue, in part because it gets back to the basics. There is no Red Tool or Gang of Harleys to take up story time. It's just Harley trying to redeem herself for all her past deeds. And it brings up some interesting questions, such as whether people deserve second chances. It's a fun read you need to check out. Read Full Review

Look. I like the concept of Harley being framed, and then figuring her way out of this mess, first trying to fight, or run away from Batman, and then, inevitably, teaming up with him and proving her innocence. You know why? Because I've seen it already. Paul Dini's Some King of a Family was based on this general plot, and it was full of action, full of heart and full of character development. This is none of that.

The comic is an incoherent mess, and to make things worse, it's filled with filler material, like the entire dream sequence. It's unnecessary and serves no real purpose other than saying out loud few things that coulld have been said in one or two sentences. And frankly, I can even tell you when exactly - in hospital, when Harley was talking to her mom, and/or her trying to prove Batman she is redeemable.

The only two good things I can say about this issue are, as follows: the art is pretty good (with some panels being very good), and it doesn't feature deadpoolesque pointless violence and shock for the sake of shock. They aren't enough to save it, though. more

I surprisingly liked this issue. The part with Batman was what I wanted for Harley since a long time. He could have been harher, but better than nothing.

I stated why I keep reading the series multiple times in the past, Comix4fever . Because Harley, ironically, is my 2nd favourite comic character, and also, because often her Frank Cho variant covers are pretty great. Oh, and considering Harley changed writers more often than Batman tried to get married, there's still a glimmer of hope in me that one day we'll get someone who understands the character and doesn't just repeat the Palmiotti-Conner fan-fic formula.

I don't know why I keep reading this title. I'm probably mentally unwell. But at least I have the company of the people who like this series. This series just plainly sucks. I don't like Harley as a character. She's a child. And I felt bad for her mother when Harley wouldn't just leave her alone. Of course, no one would ever call Harley out on how annoying she is. Even if they have cancer and chemo to deal with. Also, I think I'll start pointing out especially bad lines I notice in this series every two weeks. This time it's "An look-- My mom's got cancer, ya can't scare me any more." I just found that particularly atrocious because she hardly ever shows concern for her mother outside of the designated mom-caring scenes. Here we have her accepting to take on these trials and somehow thinking that, despite never discussing this with the weird Not-Starfire character, she can wait until after her mom is better. So when things go poorly for her and she can't be with her mom, it's not because the world's (rightfully) turned against her, it's because she made a classically stupid decision. And this isn't the first time in Sam Humphries' run that this has happened. In Humphries' second arc, Harley has to make money to pay her rent and to do this, she has to kill this seemingly unkillable target for money. To do this, she unleashes her full arsenal on him. So why didn't she just sell stuff like her weapons? Or her plane and its fuel? It's a pretty big hole in the "We don't have enough money to live" plot. Because Sam Humphries and the editor aren't paying attention, Harley becomes an even bigger buffoon than she already was and the trend continues here. Here's to two weeks without Harley. more

You are kind of right. But I felt kind of sorry for Harley, when they kicked her out of the hospital. I liked this issue though, because it’s the first time that someone criticizes her crimes. I liked how Batman told her that. I keep reading this, because Harley was one of my favorite characters Pre52& I haven’t given up on her yet.

I'm reading this because I'm insane and decided to read everything in the DCU from Rebirth onwards. Of course, this series may not even be canon. I really don't know. Although, there's some hope for me, maybe... I did finally decide to drop House of Whispers.

It really throws into question when Suicide Squad is happening, since she's in that. House of Whispers is really not worth reading, in my opinion.

I’ve been curious about those Sandman spinoffs. I miss Sandman as an ongoing series, Gaiman’s run on that was awesome, but he’s not attached to any of these, so I don’t know. I’ve heard Books of Magic and the Dreaming are good.

I think Books of Magic is the best of the bunch. Lucifer is a pretty close second. I'm not as enthused about the Dreaming but maybe that's because I'm not very interested in the Sandman universe. I thought the original run was really good, but I couldn't care less about Lucien and the others. House of Whispers is by far the weakest though.

Okay, thanks for the info. I always enjoy reading some Lucifer comics. I’ve seen some previews for Books of Magic, looks really good. I keep wanting to come back to the Sandman Universe even though nothing can hold a candle to Neil Gaiman’s stellar run. I like Lucien, but he’s not my favorite. I may just skip House Of Whispers to save money.

I always thought SS is earlier, because in HQ Harley is already free& canon stories were referenced there a couple of times. I check all these out. They don’t look so bad in my opinion.
