    Big Comic Page - Craig Neilson-Adams Jun 13, 2017

Honestly, it seems like every month I come out and sing the praises of this series, not just for its impressive storytelling and artwork, but for the sheer consistency that has seen it maintain such a blistering pace for almost six years now. If you're not already on this bandwagon then you really need to remedy that, and if you've ever shown any kind of affinity or affection for the ‘heroes in a half-shell', then this is most definitely the series for you. ComicWow!TV - Art Boorman Jun 12, 2017

This is a fascinating story arc, containing equal amounts of action and character development. The plot, characterization, and dialogue are outstanding, and the artwork is truly superior. Read Full Review

Word Of The Nerd - Brent Jackson Jun 14, 2017

This was a great story arc from start to finish for IDW's TMNT series. It introduced some new enemies and brought the turtles in a new direction. This was their first real test without Master Splinter leading them and it really brought the team together and showed how they would have to adapt to Leonardo actually being "the master". TMNT continues to be a fantastic ongoing series building this world from the first issue, micro-series, mini-series and TMNT Universe series all combining to make the world unlike any other. Flickering Myth - Chris Cooper Jun 15, 2017

Also depending on your own preferences, there might be some pretty cheesy dialogue in the through this issue. It didn't overly bother me but it did stand out. Then again, the TMNT are teenagers, so maybe they should be given a pass? So much is done well this month that I on reflection I think I can let it slide. Read Full Review

    IGN - Jeff Lake Jun 15, 2017

Tom Waltz and Mateus Sanolouco have delivered their fair share of excellent finales throughout their Turtles run, and while issue #70 won't go down as one of their best, it's a serviceable capper to an overall fantastic arc. Read Full Review

    AIPT - Nick Nafpliotis Jun 14, 2017

Despite an ending that's a little too easy (and cheesy), TMNT #70 is still a fun ending to what's been on of the series' best story arcs. Read Full Review

Damn. Short arc packs a punch. Action was top notch and the surprisingly wicked villian is legit. Killing his old dad with such heartlessness..now that's a villian.

finally the Turtles start to actually serve a purpose in their own comic.

this series has been introducing far too many characters for the title characters to actually shine.

i did enjoy this issue's conclusion, but i feel like the writers are too busy trying to add characters from past iterations of Tmnt than focusing on telling a quality story.

it's better to focus on your present and plans for the future, than getting too bogged down by the past.

The action is packed to the brim and the villain is freakin' crazy. The mercs were a little too friendly with the mutanimals near the end though, I think that needed to be scaled back.
