    AIPT - Ryan Pagella May 27, 2020

Marauders #10 reminds us that dealing with the emotional weight of grief and anger is such an intense and volatile experience for those with superpowers. They are also a class of minorities, who are fighting for their equal rights. This story platforms all of that, and most importantly, it platforms Emma Frost. Read Full Review

Marauders has become the flagship X-Book for a variety of reasons, though if we had to single out one particular reason to explain its success, it would be its ability to maneuver between various tones with ease. Read Full Review

Beyond The Panel - Jideobi Odunze May 27, 2020

When you look at the X-Men book, you enjoy the fact that there is an artist there who really knows how to render a scene, but at the same time you would find problem with the fact that the characters become stiff in turn. This art team finds a way to give you that same quality of artwork, and take extra steps towards making sure that there's life put into the characters. The are expressive through both their facial expositors and body language. Read Full Review

Black Nerd Problems - Chris Aiken May 28, 2020

Most of this issue feels like the calm before the storm. From the Dawn of X files/interludes, we dig deep into how Kate really felt about being unable to be a part of Krokoa like everyone else. These little snippets paint a different picture, making readers feel even more sorry for the missing captain. I'm wondering how the crew will keep it together as the next issue hits as we might be getting the final word of Captain Kate's fate. Read Full Review

    Newsarama - Pierce Lydon May 27, 2020

Marauders is the kind of book that I didn’t realize I missed so much in its absence. Duggan has developed a great rapport between these characters and is doing his best to have his story as fully informed by this new era of X-Men as possible. (Though, it is odd that Kurt calls Kate “Katya” in his e-mail to her rather than “Katzchen.” Is Colossus borrowing Kurt’s computer?) Caselli is doing his part to make sure that Marauders feels like an essential X-title despite not technically having an X in the title. In a lot of ways, this is the platonic ideal of an X-Men book. It was missed. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - Dispatchdcu May 27, 2020

If youre a MARAUDERS fan, you have to buy this issue to stay in the loop. If youre an X-MEN fan interested in jumping onboard MARAUDERS, this isnt the time or the issue. Just have a friend catch you up and wait a bit before diving in. And lastly, if you're a comic fan starving for something new to read, you can take a chance on this issue for sure. Its entertaining, creative, funny, easy to follow, fast-paced, and contains a decent amount of action. However, heavily invested MARAUDERS fans, as well as X-fans may leave craving more answers and substance from a series that's been a Rock Star since day one. Was it the lack of Kitty, the lack of New Releases, or a whirlwind of both making the perfect storm for an average issue from Duggan? The verdict is still out. Read Full Review

    All-Comic - Jeremy Matcho May 30, 2020

Marauders #10 pushes the Hickman era of X-comics forward. It touches on some things that have been getting built up in other titles and fleshes them out a little. Gerry Duggan has been consistently good on this title, and hes really made it one of the fun books in the line. The art is clean and crisp with vibrant colors. Marauders #10 is a nice book to get you prepared for the rest of the line. Read Full Review

That Emma scene is so disrepectful and bad.

    Captain Krakoa May 27, 2020

Oh God that was bad, really bad! They have a full team to handle one simple boat, two omega mutants doing nothing but stop the boat while they can just teleport from that freaking thing. Emma Frost being sexualized 'cause she can't control 4 guards and btw the white straight rich woman who says 'minorities rights' while the true minorities in the book stay on background. What a shame, again, that was BAD.

No words for this one. While Marauders has been an average book so far, this issue drops the ball magnificently.

That Emma panel was terribly handled. I'm sure Gerry Duggan had the best intentions; however, it comes off very cringey and tone-deaf. In the hands of a straight, white author, what is supposed to be sexual empowerment can often be interpreted as objectification.

The cast as usual is underused. Not even with Kitty out of the picture, there's hope for meaningful panel time for Storm or Bishop (literally the only two PoC characters). Iceman serves no purpose other than being the token gay character who only shares actual dialogue with the other gay character. And of course, Pyro's only purpose is being the com more

How to spot a bad marvel comic:

    1. It's written by "professionals"
    2. It has a high rating
    3. The summary is absolute crap.

    This comic in short:

Russia is bad because they're not gay
USA is good because they're gay

I don't know why this issue got so much negative attention from users. I guess maybe with comics being in short supply, more people read what did come out. But I think I'll just use my review to mock the other users who don't agree with me.

Let's start with the big one. The scene with Emma Frost. Users Todd A. Lonn, Captain Krakoa, Old Guy Nate, DC Stuff, Julian Keller and Sky788 all have a big problem with this scene. We'll get into why they're wrong in a second, I just want to give my hot take about it. The first time I read it, I was slightly put off by it, because it was unexpected, but then I decided that it was a very Emma Frost move. I did tell a friend of mine that she was going to love the Emma scene, but I said that in more

I didn’t hate this issue but I also wasn’t in love with it, maybe I just felt like it was moving a little weirdly?

The review syestem for this site says a 7 is the first number which is in the brown or a mixed review, and I think that is accurate for this book. I didn't hate it, but it's a bad sign when the suplementals are more interesting than the book itself. The plot wraps up a few elements but also has an awkward, overly sexualizing scenes from a women who doesn't need more sexualization and a wierd explanation for such a scene to boot. The book ends up leaving an underwhelming impression by the end but I didn't regret my purchase. Worth buying for those still reading, to everyone else, there are better X-Men singles than this in the last NCBD alone.

Okay. Not as bad as some people make it out to be. That scene with Emma may be in line with her character, but it felt awkwardly executed nonetheless.
