    Marvel Adventures Spider-Man #16Posted: Thursday, August 4, 2011By: Ray Tate Paul TobinMatteo Lolli, Terry Pallot (i), Sotocolor (c)Marvel Our story begins apres-midi with Spidey fighting intangible demons, that cheat by hitting back, and his girlfriend Chat running away from said demons. Once Spidey deduces the nature of the fiends, this occurs on four of the story, he web-slings to Dr. Strange's abode. One of the more interesting things about the book is what's unsaid. Spidey doesn't try to find a safe haven for Chat. Instead, he sticks to her like glue. It's a refreshing change because the old clich goes something like this. Hero leaves companion in "safety." Companion is ambushed from behind. Companion becomes a bargaining chip against the hero. Spidey instead takes responsibility for Chat, and responsibility is the overall core of Spider-Man, at least this incarnation of Spidey. Read Full Review
