This is justification for a miniseries. I love the adventures of Jango and Boba by this team of creators and would pay big bucks for a spin-off series. The story has the characters true to their film counterparts, the new characters are enjoyable, there are several surprises, and the ending is sensational. The visuals are excellent with the characters looking like those from the films, the alien worlds keen, and the colors manipulating the reader wonderfully. Age of Republic - Jango Fett #1 is my favorite Star Wars comic in the last year. It effectively evokes the title character and his son and it develops them in a brief, subtle one-shot that is totally complete " but leaves you weighing their relationship long after you've finished it. It takes a simple man trying to make his way in the universe and it complicates him " providing insights and layers in twenty-odd pages that he never had before. Read Full Review

Fans hoping to get an action-packed story about Jango that could have enriched his appearances in Attack of the Clones might be left disappointed, yet the added insight into Boba's character ultimately makes his journey more complex and enjoyable. Read Full Review
These issues continue to be capable of not just focusing on the titular character, but also a secondary character as well. Its interesting to see Jango serving as a mentor to his son since that just hasn't been something we've seen in film form.
