It's X-O Manowar vs. G.A.T.E. as EXODUS continues to rip the Valiant Universe apart!

With a conspiracy tearing the Vine and Humanity's tenuous relationship apart, Aric of Dacia takes matters into his own hands to bring peace - but at a dire cost. But when you don't know whom to trust, you must trust yourself.

Make no mistake, this is excellentstuff that is well worth the cover price. With the consistency fans and readers have enjoyed since X-O Manowarre-launched the Valiant Universe in 2012, it's not a bad idea to re-read earlier story arcs like“By the Sword”, “Dead Hand”, and “Planet Death” as they are not required reading, but recommended reading to fully enjoy the magic of X-O Manowar's present, and future direction. Robert Venditti's X-O Manowar has proven time and again that the man knows how to execute a story. Venditti has been building tension throughout the "Exodus" arc, which continues into X-O Manowar #41 for the majority of the issue. Read Full Review

This has been a fantastic story arc so far, one that has focused less on balls to the wall Micheal Bay like action, and instead focuses on a more cerebral story that has yet to rely overmuch on explosions and fight scenes (although there has been enough action over the past few issues to highlight the power wielded byAric)which is something Im excited about.Im not going to say much more about the story as I always try to be mindful of just how much I'm giving away for those who are yet to read it, but Ihave thoroughly enjoyedthe arc so far, especially the focus on the relations between humanity, the Vine, and X-O Manowar rather than three comics with nothing but mindless action. X-O Manowar #41 is an excellent issue that escalates things as we go into part 3 of EXODUS. The inevitable we have to look forward to in the next issue, and that much will be worth looking forward to as no one truly wins from a war like this. Read Full Review

Comic Crusaders - Johnny Hughes Oct 14, 2015

This book is an easy enjoyable read. Even after missing a number of issues I was able to fit right back into the story. To some, this may feel like a bad thing, after all if its that easy to fit in, then nothing much must have happened in the last few issues. However, I would it has to be a good thing, allowing new readers to pick up the issue and fall right into the action. The Valiant (although not exclusively) style of mini arcs does allow for easy collection of issues for trades, but also means that if you pick up an mid arc story, you should be able to pick up the preceding issues from your Local Comic Book Emporium, which I heartily recommend. New readers should not start here, but if you've been reading the series then get ready for some serious reveals and consequences coming up. The stage is set for something dramatic to happen in the next issue which I will be looking forward to. Read Full Review

Venditti is great at crafting these tense storylines, and the explosive events towards the end of the issue left me very excited for next month's finale and whatever the future holds for X-O. Read Full Review
