Mother Panic is the kind of book that still feels like you have to work at it to really get the most out of it and part of that is unlocking more of who Violet is with each arc. And that really can be difficult with a monthly book. Jody Houser continues to work a really intriguing larger narrative for the character that I'm hopeful will get more time to unfold and be explored and I'm digging the way the artists are rotating into it combined with the shorter arcs themselves. Shawn Crystal is a perfect addition to the roster and I'm excited to see more of his interpretation of the cast and settings here. Read Full Review

'Mother Panic' #10 lacks a bit of action but has plenty of emotional punch. This is still a very good book. Read Full Review

The last quarter of this issue makes up for the first three-fourths. While everyone loves a mystery, sometimes a more direct story telling approach is needed. The more we learn about Violet's past, the better, but at some point she's going to have to begin to move forward. Read Full Review

Perhaps a small step back in quality from the last story arc, however still worlds better than the first couple.  Storytelling is solid, however, a bit of ambiguity in the art make certain reveals less clear... and therefore carry less impact. Read Full Review

I have been a big fan of this book up to this point. The story arcs haven't been completely successful, but this one is the first issue that I feel myself getting impatient with the plotting. Violet's quest for vengeance doesn't seem to have a goal. It was an effective way to expose Violet's character, but now that we know something about her it seems like we are going to get just another ghost from her past. I think we need a change of pace. Comic Book Bin - Philip Schweier Aug 23, 2017

I enjoy Shawn Crystals artwork, but Im not sure this is the right project for it. It almost has an EC/Jack Davis quality, so Im not sure what would be a better place. Regardless, Mother Panic is on the verge of committing the cardinal sin of comic books: its becoming boring. I'd like to see the creative team step things up, lay Vis old demons to rest, and stop wallowing in this pit of childhood trauma. Read Full Review

I love the variant cover. I didn't like the art in the comics. And the story his not very strong. The last arc was better.
A little disappointed but I will go to the end.
