A science fiction horror series about social media, big tech, and influencer culture.
It's The Social Network meets Hellraiser. When the world's biggest influencer posts something irredeemably horrific online, the world changes in an instant. Now it's up to his social media manager, Anne Stewart, to fan the flames of outrage and create a sensationalist campaign that rewrites the rules of "banned content." Thus begins a carnival of lust, revulsion, desire, and disgust - all for viral videos.

I have to be 100% honest that at the end of the first issue I have absolutely no idea where Thompson is taking us on this nightmare fuelled ride, but honestly, I dont care at this point because I am absolutely and irrevocably hooked. This is not a new thing for me, Zac Thompson has a fantastic ability to give the reader just enough in delivering a first issue that gives nothing away, but guarantees that you will pick up the second one without thinking twice. And trust me, youre definitely going to want to pick up the second issue of this one! Read Full Review

I Breathed a Body is a disturbing look at our current obsession with social media and how this can escalate into a horrifying direction. That might be scary enough on its own, however it's amplified by some chilling supernatural elements, making for a dynamite read. Read Full Review
Despite my trypophobia, I Breathed a Body #1 is an intriguing start of a series. There's a lot to chew on for a comic that clearly has something to say. Things will be interesting to see where they go from here and what exactly is on these creator's minds. Read Full Review
'I Breathed a Body' #1 is an impressive debut issue that forces us to look at society's obsession with social media and its influence with both a figurative and literal lens as inherently evil. The machinations behind one such influencer and the dangers that entail. With a killer art team, Thompson has once again put together a smart and wickedly conceived cautionary tale of horror and commentary that recalls David Cronenberg mixed with Philip K. Dick. I Breathed A Body is a creepy conglomeration of varied influences creating an affectingly unsettling debut issue. The art effectively coveys a sense of shaky dread and it's body horror, tech horror and supernatural horror all at once. Read Full Review

SO GROSSS AND DISTURBING!!
CANT WAIT FOR #2
Good so far.
It started off a little confusing for me. The first few pages are going to need explained and the girl Anne seemed to switch up demeanor early on, but it gained traction throughout and ended on a total cliffhanger that forces you to want the 2nd issue.
Weird yet intriguing story about a social media influencer. Not sure where this is going but I'll probably pick up the next issue. Great cover art, but the interior art hasn't won me over just yet.
Has anyone read Thompson's "Lonely Receiver"? What's it like?
