Various pieces are beginning to fall into place at a slow-but-steady pace as is to be expected with the recent announcement that the Warworld saga is coming to an end within the next handful of months. Action Comics #1044 delivers the second part of the Warworld Revolution. This comic takes the time to show off a little bit of the eerie alien called “Orphan” while Superman and his allies prepare to rescue Enchantress from a macabre alien witch. The story and writing by Phillip Kennedy Johnson is solid while the art from Riccardo Federico and Will Conrad is pretty good in bringing this part of the Warworld Saga to life. Read Full Review

This issue feels like the plot is really beginning to coalesce. After months of build up, the steps taken in this issue feel earned. I was critical of the early parts of PKJ's run, and I stand by that because this current arc sort of cements my problems with those early issues. Those issues tried to tell a higher concept story but without the methodical pacing of this arc. We were thrown into the unknown, alien concepts without any sort of acclimation, and then we were gone before there was any chance at adjustment. I would really like to know if that initial crossover between the two Superman titles was originally intended, or if Bendis left earlier than expected.
A real standout title. Pretty sad that people who don't read comics are review bombing this

Enjoyable lore, though a bit heavy on the exposition.
Pretty good as always, I'm really digging the lore though the timeline can feel a bit confusing character-wise.
Why prolong the final clash like this using some unwanted supernatural elements and a misleading cover. Tyrant Mongul actions and artwork saves the day from much worse situation
I stopped caring about this story line months ago...
