Batman and the Turtles go on the offensive in the belief that they can take Bane down while he's weakened, due to a lack of Venom on the Turtles' world. But that's not true any more! The Turtles' foe Baxter Stockman has found a way to reproduce the deadly substance that feeds Bane-which means the Dark Knight and the Heroes on a Half-Shell are in for the fight of their lives.
RATED T
The third installment has brought the action and intrigue and dialed it up to 11! The surprise when I saw the Improved Bebop and Rocksteady made me feel like a kid playing with my entire toy box of action figures again. I re-read that page about six times. The interpersonal dynamics of the individual Turtles and Batman and Damien are priceless. Donatello is very angsty in this one, but he has had the largest part to play. Raph with his Brash and arrogant bravado vs Robin who insists that he was toying with the Turtle (didn't look that way to me) and Mikey mercilessly beating Damien at the Videogame when we all know he hates to lose. These are the great touches that humanize the Anthropomorphic Turtles and bring us in as invested readers in the story. I hope they get Batman to try some Pizza next. Bane is the Literal incarnation of the Shredder"On Steroids! This is getting Crazy, and I suggest you pick up issues One and Two and get in on this Pizza Party! Read Full Review
BATMAN/TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES II #3 is an enjoyable crossover that could have been silly but ends up being a ton of fun. It finds the right balance between grit and camp, and stays true to its heroes from both universes. Read Full Review
This series continues to be a straightforward and wildly entertaining book that shows clear reverence for both sets of characters. If you arent reading it, Damian would probably say something condescending and insulting here. Read Full Review
Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II #3 (longest comic book title around!) is another fun outing from the team of James Tynion IV and Freddie Williams II. Funny, exciting, and refreshing, this is what a comic book should be. Read Full Review
I can never give Freddie Williams II enough praise for the amazing art he does in this book. The detail is just delightful. I venture to say this is one of the most visually beautiful books on my pull list right now. If the cover of next month's issue is any indication, we're going to want to keep an eye on Donatello. All told, it's a very entertaining package. Read Full Review
If the idea of Bane leading the Foot Clan, Bebop and Rocksteady into battle against Batman, Damian and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles doesnt fill you with giddy excitement, then you might want to check your pulse. This is loud, bombastic fan service of the highest order, and I absolutely love it. Read Full Review
Issue three of the hit sequel mini-series doesnt necessarily slow the action down any but is a little more heavily focused on plot really setting the stage for a huge coming conflict. Freddie Williams comes through in a huge way with some interesting venom influenced TMNT character designs fans need to see. The last three issues should be a blast. Read Full Review
James Tynion, Ryan Ferrier and Freddie Williams turn in a really solid issue with Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II #3. Read Full Review
We're at the halfway point of this miniseries, and while it's still fun, it feels like we don't have the plot or intensity of the first mini just yet. Read Full Review
Excitement, Bane, and a Damien I finally enjoy in a comic! Read Full Review
Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II #3 is an enjoyable comic book. James Tynion and Ryan Ferrier continue to do a great job delivering on things fans of both franchise want to see, like a fight between Raphael and Robin. Unfortunately there are a few missed opportunities when it comes to character arcs that keeps this crossover back from being as special as its predecessor. That said, if you are a fan of Batman or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles this comic will deliver on what you expect when these worlds collide. Read Full Review
Good character beats save this issue, which is a bit slow with a middling plot. Read Full Review
Batman and the Turtles have yet to recapture their magic, and it's looking less and less likely that they will as this series goes on. Derivative of both the previous story and itself, Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II isn't doing or saying anything new to warrant its existence. What should have been a fun, joyous romp is amounting to nothing more than a retread, to the point that entire plot points and even visuals are being recycled. I really wanted to love this, but even with a few momentary flashes of greatness I just can't. Read Full Review
Really fun¡
This one smell like a transitional issue. Nothing really happen. The Fight between Rafael & Robin was not interesting. In my mind Robin was working with them with more respect in the first arc. So that seem very off.
No surprise for what do bane (Is just dumb enough to give Venom drug to all his men. I'm surprise they don't already turn against him). Ok a little surprise for the scientist turning into a flies.
I expected better from Tynion IV.
Cover - A good cover, with a nice link to the end of the book. 2/2
Writing - I didn't enjoy it as much I expected. 1.5/3
Arts - The arts is still very good. The fight between Raphael & Robin was nicely done. 3/3
Feeling - I'm a little disappointed. I hope the follow more
