It's the issue that faithful readers have been waiting for. The writing flows, the colored inkwashes of Freddie Williams II catch the viewer's eye, and all character get their spotlight. This comic continues with a good way towards its culmination, but nothing is defined yet and anything can happen, far from knowing if the multiverse will be saved (remember that good guys always win) the real doubt is: How will it be affected the multiverse after this risky and crazy plan of Krang? Some really good ideas and character moments are bolstered by some strong art, but hindered by a lack of focus. This issue of Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III feels like a transitional chapter, putting pieces in play for an upcoming conflict without having its own narrative backbone. There are some really interesting ethical dilemmas that Batman is presented with too, but other than a few moments of uncertainty they aren't explored in great detail. Even so, this series has been really strong so far, and this issue is elevated by the strength of its predecessors. My only complaint with this series is its gimmicky nature. Batman is one of DCsmost successful properties; the TMNT franchise is still going strong ageneration after its debut. Two great tastes that taste great together. Maybethe first time, and a second helping wasnt and either.
