Batman: Beyond the White Knight #6 is an interesting but frustrating read thanks to its dense visual storytelling contrasted against the overstuffed plot. The visual elements of the book, including the art, coloring, and use of shadows are all firing at the full cylinder to tell a complex, powerful story of adopted families and the struggle to maintain those relationships. However, the emotional and narrative core are undercut by the overreaching of plot elements and characters that permeate the page. The series could have either used an additional couple of issues or been split up into two miniseries structured like the original White Knight and Curse of the White Knight. This is an issue and series geared towards fans of the batfamily and the Murphyverse, but may continue to disappoint fans of Terry McGinnis and the core Batman Beyond concept. Read Full Review

I feel the White Knight universe is just sputtering along to its final conclusion at this point. I think if one really wanted to take a look at Murphy's vision for these characters, they could go read the original White Knight series and leave it at that. The flaws of the series currently outweigh the positives by a very wide margin. I don't think there's much left to do other than stop Mr. Powers and have Bruce and Harley run away together like he and Selina Kyle did at the end of The Dark Knight Rises (which for Bruce and Harley, feels like a very odd thing indeed.) This series is awesome, this is how you do an elseworlds tale. This is a very very great issue. The set is amazing, I love the way sgm does the shadows in this book. I can't wait to re read the first to volumes and then go through this series again when it's done. Dc this is one of your best books on the shelf and the covers are always worthy of putting up on a wall. I may have to change up my Batman books and get some sgm on my wall soon.

The first part of the issue was really unnecessary and has been pointed out, straight out of a fanfic. I generally like Murphy's twists on the known status quos but Harley and Bruce is just weird and after a nice resolution to the last issue Bruce enters here like a huge dick. Speaking of, holy character development Batman! Dick gets a truncated backstory apology and fight scene. I liked all of it. Best dialogue in the story so far. Still moving too slow. For being a Beyond book, there is not enough of Terry. He's being used as an occasional plot device and not as a character.

This is one of my favorite issues so far. I liked that we had a bunch of things come together that have been building. It seems like it's going to have a strong finish.

Dude, the Harley and Batman stuff is so ludicrously fanficky that it makes me laugh.

I had no idea who Jason's friend was at first, she looks nothing like the newest Robin introduced in Jason's tie-in story.

I think we need to cut down on the jumping out of windows, this time was especially ridiculous.
