All in all, the conclusion to DCeased is fitting. The joint efforts of Taylor, Hairsine, Edwards, and Guadiano produced a riveting conclusion to the “not-a-zombie” epic, although it didn't quite reach the same emotional highs of the preceding issues, and the comedy doesn't connect in the same way. However, it's still provided a satisfying capstone to the series, while leaving enough doors open for more exploration if Taylor decides to mess with our hearts again. I'm almost certain he will. For a story so grim, I laughed pretty hard at Oliver's reaction to Damian saying Bruce did not have a contingency plan for him. For an ego like Oliver's, this probably stung. When all is said and done, DCeased is a book that has no impact on main continuity of the DC Universe. Yet at the same time that doesn't matter. This was a story worth telling, an experience that will rock your world, and one worth talking about for all the ways that it challenges the cliche of most apocalyptic stories set in a superhero world. Prelude:
It's the final issue of DCeased. Tom Taylor has a big job now to land this story after last issue.
The Good:
Taylor knows how to write characters. Green Arrow and Green Lantern were some of the best but Jon, Damian and Lois also get that award too.
Wonder Woman's actions make sense. She is an Amazon and is prepared to fight with any tactic.
You would think our heroes would be able to turn it around. Nope, they lose in every meaningful way.
Art was great from the team as well.
Welp, just like last issue, I'm getting teary-eyed.
The Bad:
The Green Lantern Corps feels like a bit of a cop out. Also they could have used the Lasso of Truth earlier but I fee more
In my opinion, this is the best superhero zombie story of all time and it's personally my favorite Tom Taylor story. This was also my first introduction to him, and I cant wait to read his Dark Ages story.
Great ending. The story dragged in the middle as it kept over explaining the first two issues but the last issue and the one before it were strong and this ending was great. An obvious set up for a sequel but it felt very cinematic with a dash of terror knowing Superman and Wonder woman are still in the mix as hell reincarnated. If you can except this is just part one of something the ending is not so bad. I thought the way Superman was handled was kinda sloppy like why did the survivors drop the ball so much with him? But still loved how he absorbed the sun pretty badass to see him do that with one arm all mangled. Great issue great series despite it's puttering.

Definitely not the most satisfying of endings, but wow still a great comic. The final fight between Superman and Jon was so perfectly written, and this issue was just outright epic. So many great moments throughout this comic. Tom Taylor did some great stuff with Marvel (All-New Wolverine, X-Men Red), but DC is where he truly belongs. Many one request: please no sequels.

This wasn’t quite the ending I expected. It didn’t hit me the way I thought it would, given the previous issues.
Really enjoyed the ending, but it's very clear that this is far from being over. Which is probably for the best, considering how well the book did, both commercially and critically. I loved reading this every month, and will be waiting for whenever the sequel comes out.

"It was a Wednesday"
DCeased was an awesome event. Every issue of this miniseries, including the one-shot, was engaging, entertaining and all around fun.
And the concluding chapter is no different. It might not have the heartbreaking moments of the previous issues, but it is a visual spectacle, with great battle scenes, characters being the best at what they do and Tom Taylor nailing the Jon/Damian friendship in mere four panels (BMB take notes).
This was a satisfying end. I hope that Taylor will do just as well with the Suicide Squad.

While not entirely original (or canonical) it is certain to entertain and satisfy horror and superhero fans alike. While I wasn’t overwhelmingly impressed by the story (a typical ‘outbreak’ scenario, though in the form of anti-life), the intense art style overcompensates for any lack of imagination in that department. There were some refreshing and unique changes (namely GL Canary), but on the other hand certain major character deaths happened too fast to really matter.
I am being generous. You can't overthink horror.

Oh. That’s it? Huh, okay...
I’ve been a huge fan of this series and this issue is still a great addition but as a conclusion to the series, I needed a little more. For me, there are too many points left unattended to. It’s evident that DC will be going for a sequel here since Superman and Wonder Woman are roaming freely, the magicians from the DCeased one shot never showed up at the end battle & Harley and Ivy stayed behind in their fortress.
Overall though, there are more solid character moments here. Tom Taylor is an expert with characterisation. Stand out characters being Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Black Canary and the Kent’s.

With all the dark twists and turns it is great to have a somber ending ending with the end of the world as we know it. The impact of a “zombie” Superman was very well done. However the solution of just using a kryptonite infused sword seemed like a rushed solution and really let the story down.

This was okay. I honestly wasn't satisfied with it as an ending. But I didn't hate it either. I don't really want more of this concept.
Some cool moments but overall a disappointing ending.
This feels like an ending of a TV series' season, not like a proper conclusion of an event, or a stand alone comic story. It just cuts out, not giving us any real answers - and granted, they could be provided within a sequel, if there's any in the future, but for now, we have what we have, so I'm not willing to give DC a free pass, because there's untapped potential in DCEASED.
So yeah, as an ending of something big, this issue is pretty weak. However, as a comic itself, it's actually decent - there's few amazing scenes and ideas thrown in, like Diana forging a sword to defeat Superman (as well as the conceptual connection to Athena - that's some good stuff), or majority of Green Arrow's panels (that's the Ollie we deserve!). more
DCEASED #6: "Deus Ex Lantern Corps"
Remember the magic plot with John Constantine, Zatanna, and Dr Fate introduced back in the GDTD special? Guess what, it doesn't matter because this series sold like gangbusters and it's sequel time baby!
This whole series after Issue 1 felt like it was just checking the boxes for a "insert post-apocalyptic DC Universe zombie story". Everything seemed so predictable to me, and the big twists didn't even have that much of an impact. Green Lantern Black Canary? DeSaad escaping Apokolips? Literally anything else? Nah, let's just have another hero die and they have to beat him. Haha Green Arrow sucks because Batman didn't have a contingency plan for him LMAO.

Pretty Meh.
The problem with Dceased is, that it doesnt have any depths. In every issue we saw some heroes getting effected& dying. Thats pretty much it. The Anti-life Equation, a possible cure ( that was wasted with Desaad getting killed off in the first issue) never get explored & we don’t see real character interaction. Why Harley& Ivy out of all survive without a scratch never gets explored, they just do.
So overall this is just a slasher Comic& I am not hyped for a sequel. Guess the horror Covers were the only cool thing we got thanks to Dceased.
THE GOOD:
-The art is maybe at it's best in the worst-written issue. How's that for irony?
-Okay, Green Arrow made me laugh. Maybe Tom Taylor should write a new series for him, whenever DC decides to resurrect the title. Guess he's pretty busy, though.
-The Cyborg/Wonder Woman scenes really interested me. I'm guessing we're getting a sequel, so I'm cautiously interested based on that setup.
THE BAD:
-I'm surprised to say I didn't like this at all. It was a rushed non-ending that just disappointed in every way.
-With a couple exceptions, I didn't feel satisfied by any of the endings for these characters.
