The artwork by Howard Porter looks fantastic but is also filled with many clever touches, such as Porter referencing some of his older work in Wally West's "time seizure" flashbacks. DC is really on a roll right now with so many of their top titles hitting so strongly creatively. Few are at the same level as The Flash at this point. The only problem currently with The Flash is it's not coming out every week. All in all, this was a solid start to this hugely-anticipated storyline, and if the last panel doesnt make you wring your hands in anticipation of the next issue, then this just isnt the book for you. This is the story long-time DC fans have been waiting for: Wally remembers everything, and he is not happy with all that he has lost. Couple that with the fact that Barry was seemingly responsible for all of the changes to the timeline in the first place (see Flashpoint), and its easy to see that this story could have long-lasting effects on the DC universe as a whole, not to mention the Flash Family itself. If the first and last pages of this story are any indication, we’re going to get the most interesting Flash story in years. This feels like another piece of the Rebirth puzzle, and the art is fantastic to boot. I’d recommend this to new readers with access to the last few issues, however. The exposition can be a bit much. Wally is all over the place emotionally, while Barry, Iris, and Kid Flash are trying to keep the family together. Things get a little complicated when The Renegades, Rogues who are I guess like future Rogues spliced with the Legends of Tomorrow, show up to arrest Iris for the murder of the Reverse Flash. The story is fast and there's a lot going on, so definitely start from the beginning and keep up if you want full understanding of what's going on. Read Full Review

Flash #47 is another misfire, especially given the build-up to Flash War. While its not among the worst issues of the series, it is a step-down in quality since last issue. The melodrama and frustrating dialogue isnt salvaged by the solid artwork of Porter and Hi-Fi. I cant say stay away from the comic, but its not recommended either. If youre a fan of the series and are hyped for Flash War, then I can tentatively say to check it out. Read Full Review

Ok for now I don't like the start of the story when Wally & Barry seem to have (One more) a argument.
I like the story about iris, even if I wonder why she's suspected for Eobard death (Barry can tell that she isn't in cause he die in the button). I'm not found of the renegade, even if at my surprise one of them is a sinister corps member (Good Surprise).
But at the end, I dig a lot the museum with all the heroes of post flashpoint story. Damn Flashpoint (Hate it).

Cover - Yeah a battle between Flashs we got that in the bad ForPlay. But this is a good one 2/2
Writing - A story in tree time ... One in the past, one in the present with the heroes, and all of them in the future but Appart. 2.5/3
Arts - Love Porter since Morrison's JLA. 3/3
Feeling - I don't know what I do here, but I will try to enjoy the ride ^^ 1/2 more

Finally, the Flash War is here. This issue perfectly sets everything up, with a lot teased about to make sure you're left excited for more. Pick it up, it's only getting better from here.

Flash War starts here and it's shaping to be an exciting ride.

Frictions arise between Barry and Wally on the matter of how to Flash and because of Wally's reckless behaviour. In Wally's defense he's got a lot on his mind with all the conflicting memories piling up in his head.
On top off that 25th century Rogues arrive and they want Iris to stand trial for murdering Eobard Thawne. Didn't Barry had a similar problem once? Being on trial for the murder of Reverse-Flash?

This is a good issue. Nice art, good dialogue and some really good action. I was really surprised to see what Golden Guardian power was. More specifically where it comes form.

Welcome to the Oblivion Bar where the first round is on me and the pretzels are free! Be warned: like the pickled eggs at the bar, this issue is going to get SPOILED rotten.

The issue opens with Barry and Wally arguing in what “appears” to be the future. The vibe we get, is that Wally wants to go back in time and change something. We later find out at the end of the story, that Hunter Zolomon pulls Wally aside to offer him an opportunity to get his old life back with Linda and his kids. The end actually reminds me of the end of “Back to the Future” when Doc Brown comes back and says, “ it’s your kids Marty! Somethings got to be done about your kids!”

We jump to 47 minutes and 18 seconds earlier, which honestly tells me this is more a battle than a war... but anyway... Barry and Wally are trying to stop some wave from crushing some coast somewhere and the idea is to build up hostility between the Flash’s to the reader which I really never noticed much of before. Sure, in some of the Grodd issues I could sense something was up with Wally but nothing that seemed like they were angry at each other.

The Renegades from the future, which are the Future Rogues they are “good”, come to take Iris to the 25th century to pay for her crimes of murdering Eobard months ago now. Wally tries to run away with Iris to hide her but she freaks out on him and demands they stay and fight. Barry, Kid Flash, and Wally try to fight the “good” Rogues/ Renegades and we see that their Golden Glider (Golden Guardian) is a yellow lantern, which was pretty cool!

The Renegades make a deal to help Wally, who is suffering from temporal time headaches... I guess... but only if they can take Iris with them to at least question her. So, they all agree to go to the future together but when they arrive, Wally isn’t with them. Zolomon somehow pulled him away in mid-teleport to say his “it’s your kids!” line from “Back to the Future”.

The issue was ok. Maybe it’s my fault and maybe it’s Williamson’s fault? Maybe it’s both? All the talk was that this war was going to be epic. So, I assumed we would get fire right out of the gate. It wasn’t bad it was just lacking from my expectations, which makes it harder to grade. Did I build it up more than I should have? Did I fall to the hype train? What is a hype train anyway?

I loved the yellow lantern ring for their Golden Guardian and I loved the reference to Linda and his kids. For all the Flashers our there... is that what we’re called?!?!?... seeing Wally get his life back would be great. I loved seeing Barry back with the original Flash Rebirth almost a decade ago but then we lost our Wally for so long.

Rebirth brought him back... kind of... but DC hasn’t used him right at all.... for example a pace maker. So, the excitement for me is to somehow give us both Flash’s back to normal. We can deal with two Flash’s. It’s fine. So, we are seeing the possibility BUT I don’t want it to come at the cost or detriment to Wally. And he looked crazed on that first page. The fighting between Barry and Wally seems forced to set up some type of a war. I’m really not liking that part of this at all. And I still can’t get behind Zolomon as the bad guy. Time will tell. But for now, I think it was an ok start that will stick in the top quarter of my stack.

Chaotic issue but brings together an interesting plot. My least favorite part of this issue is the back and forth between Barry and Wally in the middle of action scenes. It just felt childish--the end of this issue is really what sold it for me in the end.
