The bat's out of the bag as Monkey Prince and Pigsy both realize what all the demon spirits around the world are after-eating specific superheroes in order to gain their powers! And this penguin demon has his eyes on...Batman! Uh-oh, Monkey Prince, it's bad enough you have to keep hiding your tail when you're Marcus, and how your circlet keeps returning latched onto your body as something else every time you try to get rid of it-but now cannibalism is also on the menu? YEOW!

    Gene Luen Yang is clearly having a lot of fun with this book, as he merges elements of superhero teen drama with a surprisingly deep plot centering around ancient Chinese mythological figures and their enemies. Read Full Review

     Bits and Pieces Monkey Prince #3 has potential if it can just get out of its own way.  Unfortunately, there's nothing remarkable enough about the main character to like.  Plus, there's too much reliance on Batman & Robin to do the heavy lifting.  As a result, the story wastes its time with extra scenes that do nothing for the character or the plot.  Monkey Prince #3 is not a bad issue, but it never rises above mediocre except for the art.
