While it doesn't experiment with the medium in the way that the Calvin & Hobbes tribute issue did, this just might be one of Rodriguez's strongest outings to date. His ability to capture raw emotion has always been strong, but here the tears, sorrow and fear are practically leaping off the page. The funeral and Tyler's breakdown are perfect examples of Rodriguez at his best.
