King Grimlock rampages on! As Grimlock sets off to find his place in this strange new world of men, beasts, and magic, he finds himself in the maw of a beast big enough to swallow a Dinobot! It's a fight of incredible strength between the Cybertronian T-Rex and the monster--and someone is taking lessons from Grimlock that may spell his doom!
By the end of the issue, the two appear to part ways suggesting that Grimlock's journey to destroying the Red Wizard will be a solo one. However, given the amount of pages Arko has taken up in the series so far, I don't think we've seen the last of the warrior. Read Full Review
Transformers: King Grimlock #2 continues an interesting series. This is one that'll be really judged when all five issues wrap up but so far it's teasing some interesting things to come. With a nice focus on Grimlock and adding in some interesting back and forth with Arko, the issue delivers a sword and sorcery concept with a main character that's a little different than expected. This was a fun but ultimately superficial issue. I agree with Gizmo’s review, the art made it really difficult to follow what was going on at times.
There's really no relatable character here, not even Grimlock. On top of that, the artwork does not communicate clearly, so whatever action might have breathed life into the scene is lost.
