It's Skynet vs. Cybertron in a crossover for the ages! 1984: When a deadly race of machines emerge from another time, will a robotic guardian be able to protect the Earth from a dire future... or will the T-800 fail in his mission to prevent the world from becoming a plaything to the Decepticons?
This was an exceptional little read. The story was amusing in that 'tickles every nostalgia box' kind of way, especially if you're a fan of these opposing kinds of franchise. Nods like Starscream shouting 'Judgement' at the Terminators is a lovely touch. Alex Milne is just a god of Transformer design by this point and the mix of Cybertronian and the essential 'G1' style was a delight for the eyes throughout the entire comic run. The standalone story format worked well and the writers deserve props for making it fit into both G1 Transformers and the established lore of Terminator. Needless to say it didn't work out well for humanity either way! Tansformers vs. The Terminator is highly recommend as long as you don't care for its stand alone nature and what it does to certain characters. Read Full Review
I'm a long-time fan of both franchises here, so naturally, that's gotten me enamored with the concept from the jump. That said, I have discerning tastes, and sometimes a take on Transformers or Terminator doesn't always land with me. I'm happy to say that with the comic here, I'm on board. They tap the energy that made these franchises, both born in the '80s, special for fans. Still, it isn't all ground we've already covered"there's the twist I mentioned initially, and the writers are running with it. For future issues, I'll be back! Read Full Review

Transformers vs Terminator #1is a compelling introduction to this crossover with developments fans won't expect. Barber and Mariotte convey the world ofTerminatorwell in this new setting and make a fast-paced issue that never slows down, but doesn't feel like it's going too fast either. Milne's art is nicely detailed with his transformers and humans while Cruz's colours enhance Milne's visuals. Fans of both franchises won't be disappointed in the beginning of this entertaining story. Read Full Review

Transformers vs. Terminator #1 should be an easy one to nail down. But, this debut stumbles from the beginning. From bad dialogue to at times iffy art, there's just so many crossovers for both properties that's better and more worth your time. Read Full Review
Transformers vs Terminator #1 runs on a concept that could be interesting, but not quite interesting enough yet. There are promising examples of an exciting series forming, and there is certainly a promise of action, but there isnt enough in issue #1 for the comic to stand out by itself. Read Full Review
This book is complex, confusing, and jam-packed with complicated details regarding time travel and artificial intelligence that it just feels like a lot of nonsense, but the art also manages to cram exciting sci-fi action into each panel, resulting in a premiere issue that will sure to delight die-hard fans of either franchise while frustrating more casual readers.
