Ruckley sets up an engaging mystery involving various corners of the Cybertronian War. It should be fun to see how this one plays out. Read Full Review

Transformers: War's End #1 is good. It has me wanting to check out the second issue but also had me a little lost as to the various factions and who Exarchon is. The threat is hinted at but the case is never really made that this is a major deal that could destroy everyone. Exarchon is one of the more exciting aspects of this take on Transformers, serving as an otherworldly being of pure destruction antithetical to the political intrigue that has defined this run. This is a direct continuation of the plot in the main series so I'm not sure why it is its own series other than to get the plot out faster and in a more concentrated format than the main title has been so far. Maybe all the subplots will start to get their own title. Hopefully they converge into a satisfying conclusion before IDW loses their publishing rights.
