    Comicosity - Aaron Long May 13, 2018

I loved Isola #1, and issue #2 has made me rabid for information about this world, what has happened and what the hell is going on now. I NEED MORE ISOLA AND I NEED IT RIGHT FREAKIN NOW. The writing has me hooked, the art is beautiful and I cant wait to see where they take it next. Read Full Review

    You Don't Read Comics - Kevin A. Kimball May 16, 2018

Isola is a taste for a deeper palette, one that savors rich flavors intermingled. This book is so well-crafted that any element could be stripped away from it and the book would still be just as engaging and enjoyable. That is the true testament to the storytelling, as well as the talent, and the love behind Isola. Read Full Review

Doom Rocket - Arpad Okay May 10, 2018

It's an amazing read. Fletcher, Kerschl, Msassyk, Bidikar, each facet of the story comes together as a magic briolette. I think I may love this second issue even more than the first one. The series grows more stylized, more enigmatic, deeper, bolder, and yeah, more fun. Destined for cult classic status, Isola is as good as it gets, and it's just getting started. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Andrew McAvoy May 12, 2018

Issue 1 was an intriguing read, almost something of a curiosity. This issue though is almost the true commencement of the series after the prologue of the last issue. This time we delve deeper into the world of Isola and the signals are that this is going to be a fully realized and complex journey that we are embarking upon. Special mention should be made of the depiction of the ruined city in this issue which was truly remarkable. Read Full Review

Black Nerd Problems - Jordan Calhoun May 13, 2018

This'll continue to be a slow burn, but the introduction of new characters, places, and creatures are enough to keep this introduction phase interesting as the plot is revealed. Not to mention the artwork — it's beautiful enough to admire without reading a single word. In fact, I suggest you read it a second time just for the purpose. From the blues of a tiger's stripes, to the backdrop of old ruins, and to the features of a young girl's hands, there's plenty to see and much fuel for speculation. Read Full Review

Big Comic Page - Connor Stephens May 10, 2018

In truth, I can't stop raving about this one. Whatever reservations I may have had following Isolas first issue are long gone. And while the methodical pacing may not appeal to some readers, the incredible attention to dialogue, world-building and in this issue have become the driving force behind my desire to get another fix of the intensively atmospheric, fantastical frenzy that is Isola. Bleeding Cool - Joshua Davison May 11, 2018

Isola #2 follows up the first issue with more brilliant art and quiet trekking through a mysterious wilderness full of hunters and other yet-to-be-seen dangers. Brenden Fletcher, Karl Kerschl, and MSASSYK have crafted something wondrous here, and I highly recommend it. Give it a read. Read Full Review

Combined with Kershl's stunning art and one hell of a cliffhanger, this issue will hopefully please both fans and skeptics of the series. Read Full Review

Multiversity Comics - Michael Mazzacane May 14, 2018

"Isola" has a rep for being an art book, and that's well earned, but how well everything works in concert with one another makes it one of the more evocative comics being published. The beats maybe familiar, but their execution isn't. Read Full Review

    Spartantown - Enrique Rea May 10, 2018

As lovely as 'Isola' is, it could use some revelations to provide more backstory and answer some lingering questions. We don't know the how or why yet and we're being introduced to new characters leading to more questions but it's never dull. Every panel could be confused for an animation gel making this series look absolutely peerless. The next issue could be the make-it-or-break-it point for this still-evolving story but it's still a recommended buy.  Read Full Review

The Brazen Bull - Dave Robbins May 7, 2018

With this, the second issue, the series is off to a slow start as all the secrets and loyalties have not been revealed. What we have seen, though, is a rich world populated by three dimensional character who are well worth spending some time with and getting to know. Read Full Review

We The Nerdy - Chad Waller May 9, 2018

I guess I'm not 100% sure what this comic is missing, because it has a lot going for it. Yet I'll forget all of it two days from now. It's gorgeous to look at, a Disney cartoon in comic form, but everything else is flat. I look at the world and the characters and go, “that's sure interesting,” and then wonder what else is on.
